Timbaland falls into the category of a "producer rapper." Him, Puff Daddy, Pharrell and Kanye West are prime examples of this. With the exception of Kanye, most producer rappers make stellar beats and pretty average raps, but they know what grooves to put themselves on to sound competent. Tim also usually had this vocal effect on his voice that would kind of make him sound like a robot. Anyway, good songs of his are "Luv 2 Luv Ya feat. Magoo (R.I.P.), Shaunta & Playa" (important: the REMIX version that's 4:28 long), "Give It 2 Me" feat. Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake (both singers but they're rapping on this song), "The Way I Are" feat. Keri Hilson (very techno vibe), and "Promiscuous Girl" feat. Nelly Furtado (a #1 billboard topper)
@ UGH so this is frustrating: the one you want to react to is the remix, which is 6:42; however, after the 3:57 mark the rest of the song is just the instrumental repeating itself. However, the music video for the remix ends around the 4:30 mark, so you could play the music video version but scroll the lyrics… or react to the video, or play the full remix version and just ride out to the 2.5 min of instrumental at the end. The original version is drastically different and not as catchy.
I love the fact that at this point in your hip hop journey you automatically said Timberland wasn’t a good rapper and he was always famous for being a bad rapper. 😂

I really couldn't get into this one. The synth was too loud for me, too much treble for my ears. It wasn't bad though. Promiscuous is good song by Nelly Furtado feat. Timbaland. I like it more than this song.
