Fuel is a great track from the album and can stand alone. It’s a concept album so many of the tracks lose a little if it’s not heard in the context of the entire album. I am pretty sure it was Rolling Stone that put out the list he’s referring to. They had Jay Z as #1 when Eminem is wildly considered to have beaten Jay on Renegade, particularly due to the Nas line in Ether.

If I remember correct it was a recent Billboard list of top rappers. Jay-Z was #1. People were actually giving Eminem credit for finally speaking up about it. He is usually humble. He outshines all the top rappers when he gets on a track with them. Gotta take into consideration that him and Nas are still putting worthy music out after being in the game for so long. Eminems new album is doing really well on the charts and causing the younger generation to go back and listen to the albums their parents grew up on. They are shocked with the lyrics from back then. Cancel culture lol

If you could manage it, I recommend listening to the whole album. It’s a concept album, so helps if you listen to it in order. If not then I would highly recommend Temporary and Guilty Conscious 2 ❤

Actually they are implying that Big Sean and BabyTron got bit by Eminem because he is a GOAT, and Eminem was the one originally bit by a GOAT because in the lyrics near the end Eminem says “I’m the goat that bit Sean and BabyTron and that’s why they be on the shit they be on.” It’s a bit more obvious when you see the cover art for the song and Big Sean and BabyTron are both pointing at Eminem with him pointing back and there’s a goat pointing at Eminem which is a play off of a pretty famous meme with the three versions of Spider-Man pointing at each other

You shoud react more to baby tron he is funny and can rap his videos are funny and interesting as well. There is a a song called 100 bars that the lyrics are actually in the video so you can kill 2 birds with one stone

For some reason, I don't know why, but MC Breed makes me think of Spice 1. He would be good to react too, he came out about that same time.

Just a note on those horns...they're from Maceo Parker's Soul Power 74 and had been sampled for almost a decade before this version, in all speeds and variations you could imagine. Redman had just released Rated R (which also uses the horns on the hook) a year earlier so while they might sound original today they definitely felt overused when this first came out...but I guess that didn't stop people from loving this anyway.

Great choice! This is one of my all time favorite bangers - this song is pure hip hop at its core. This beat sounds more east coast to me, and I never imagined mc breed and 2pac over an east coast sounding beat, but they ate this beat up. Ironically, 2pac always sounded great on east coast sounding beats.

Breed assembled several of the people responsible for The Chronic from a year before for this album. There is a second Breed/Pac collab on this album, which features more of Pac’s thug persona. I’d been listening to him since his Digital Underground debut, and his appearances on this album were the first time I felt the gangster persona.

I think it's well established K-Rino can spit multis and bars just like the rest of them, that's too obvious we've heard plenty MCs do that and you could find plenty of those K tracks on your own (imo). I know fans like recommending those the most but what's interesting is that it feels like he never truly fell off, he either stayed at that consistent level or improved over time and he has been doing that for decades. It's one of the things that makes him stand out in the underground scene. In my opinion his originality stands in the concepts he comes up with, even though on other tracks he is one of the punchline masters, think Big L on steroids Anyway, recommendations for concept songs: Valley Of Decision (has lyric video), The Sorcerer's Den (has lyric vidoe), Duality (has lyric video), Free, Antagonistic Radio, Grand Deception (his most famous song, you might find it a bit conspiracy, no hook), Didn't Ask, Annihilation of the Evil Machine (no hook), Break It Down, The N ew Professor (no hook) I could go for days, his discography is too big... Over 50 albums without counting collabs and guest appearances. He dropped 7 albums in one day, wrote them and recorded them in a year, it's a Guinness record.

Needs more cowbell

First time hearing K-Rino, but not first time hearing about him. For something released in 1993, this is pretty bland. Think of all the major rap music that had already gone multiple times platinum, even rap music coming out of Texas by 1993, and I personally think this is underwhelming. Not saying he ever had chances of going platinum, but if he wanted to stand out as a great rapper in 1993, he probably should've tried harder with his beat selection. You can't really save a bland beat with great lyrical abilities, but you can save horrible lyrics with a great beat. I'm sure the lyrics were affixed with multiple takes; i think crediting breath control with what can be done with studio wizardy is a fool's errand. This definitely fell short of my expectations, musically. Even more now, i wonder why Texas rap fans like this guy, other than pandering to their music scene. I say Texas rap fans specifically because i am certain that is 99% of his fanbase.
