Hello Lovelies, thanks for watching...I just wanted to bring to your attention that there has been a bit of confusion about the zipper and what size it should be...a mistake on my part I now realise that I forgot to say in the video, DON'T push the zipper all the way into the zipper tabs only go in 1/4" and your zipper with tabs...So your zip including tabs should measure approximately 5 3/4"...I hope this makes sense...if you have any more issue please feel free to contact me via email on askme.dds@gmail.com :)
Hi Nicole, Many thanks for this amazing hack. It’s a bit beyond my beginner skills at the moment, but definitely something to aspire to, I can’t wait for hack #4!!
Another great vid. I’m sew happy to have found you and I subscribed, of course. I’m new to rivets but going to give it a try. Looking forward to Hack 4. Hope you and your kidlets have all recovered from the flu. Flu seems to be getting worse each year. Thanks again. Hello from So California USA. ❤️🇺🇸😎🌴
Oh thank you Janet you are sweet to say so ....thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment hun l appreciate you being here with us and joining in the fun with us ❤❤❤
You are so creative coming up with all these hacks for this pattern! This size would be great as a small purse with a wristlet strap or a little chain strap! ❤️
A great pouch! I'm still accumulating the supplies for using rivets, first ones were quite small. I'd love to make this, and you teach us so well, thank you Nkcole.
I cannot print out the large pattern for this accordion pouch, i work on a mac and dont have adobe. Can i please purchase this pattern, i love the small one and really want to make a larger one. Thank you, love your videos have learned a lot
WOW thank you so much for all those fantastic videos and hacks.. like the others i cant wait for No 4... lol and a special thank you for telling me/us how to use adobe... i have been using it for almost 20 years... and never knew i could cut the pattern into pieces that would fit... knowing that is going to take a lot of headache away..... thanks again...
Thanks hun we are hopingnto have the 4th one ready in October...so glad l could show you hownto enlarge thw pattern 😊😊 and hownto join them...thanks for stopping by and taking the time to watch and comment hun l appreciate you being here with us ❤❤
Great tutorial. I guess if you wanted you could put a zip at both ends of the flaps, using a longer piece of the blue fabric. I just ordered the Ultimate glue - I thought about it after watching your video for the smaller pouch as it can be used for other crafts :)
Very lovely video....and great instructions....I have made my first one for my sewing 🧵 group as birthdays gift 🎁 for each one of them.... but how do you add the pipping on the tab...?
I had a couple thoughts. Could you do a double zip pocket--one for bills/credit cards and one for change? Also what about using a small grommet for attaching a strap for a handbag? Just a couple of ideas I had while re-watching this one! Looking forward to #4 next month!
I LOVE this! I've made many of the original one from your tutorial but this size is perfect! I've never used rivets and have a question. What size are used. I purchased Dritz 8 mm but the shank is only 6mm. Will that work? When you said 9 mm, did you mean the cap size or shank size? Thank you so much! Your videos are just the best.
Hi Sandy, my Overall length of the rivet is 9mm . I have used 8mm ones before...but it was a struggle. Thqnk you for taking the time to watch...l appreciate it ❤😊❤ happy sewing
Thank you so much for your response! I didn't know if you would see this or not so long after the fact. It was hard to tell from the internet if rivet sizes mentioned referred to the head or shank of the rivet. I've made at least 10 little bags from your original tutorial but am anxious to try this larger size. I am a tatter and they are just perfect for the small projects and tools but I think the bit larger one will also accommodate a ball of thread if needed! You simply amaze me!
@@sandycofer1481 So glad that you are loving the tutorial Sandy :) I greatly appreciate you being here on the channel and enjoying the content :) I know you can do the larger one :) they are an awesome size indeed ...have every merry Christmas and if you run into any issues I am on a message away :) you can also message me directly on Instagram under Darvanalee Designs Studio :) Have fun :)
Don (hubby) is wanting one of these made out of 10 oz canvas with a belt strap on the back of it for carrying his equipment for fly-fishing. Would I still need to use the fusible fleece? I plan to use the SF 101 for the lining (muslin {calico to you and Bec} ). He doesn't want the magnetic snap closure, but Velcro. Would that work as well? Looking forward to #4!
Thanks, Nicole! I wasn't sure if I would need the fleece or not. I appreciate the help. There are some things I need to help him with, then back to sewing for me!
Sarah Sheppard , I was going to ask about SF 101, I assumed it was interfacing🙈😂, I have loads of calico...This instruction dyslexia girl needs to watch again!!!!
Hack #4 is in production at present...thank you for taking the time to watch and comment hun l appreciate you being here with us and joining in the fun ❤
Love these pouches. Thanks for showing us the different design options. I'd love to get the dimensions of any of them... as I don't have a printer. Maybe the original. Would love if anyone could help me.
Hi hun, as this was not my original pattern its hard for me to give you thw dimentions...but if you go to your local library they may be able to help you with printing...sorry my hands are tied 😕
I feel like I have waited a long time for the next hack. Should I just forget about it? I was really looking forward to it but all I see lately are other things.
Next hack is on its way, we have had a lot on in the ladt couple months with personal lives ...sorry for the delay...l got sick not long after this video ...and so did my kids with the flu...it took nearly 10 weeks to recover ..

Can you tell me the size of the magnetic snap you're using? 14mm or 18mm??

@@maplelassuk Yes, it is a woven fusible interfacing. It is a good type to have around.
