    “....it’s not the painting’s job to copy a photo, but to breathe life into it.” Absolutely BRILLIANT!!! 🙌🏻

    Lovely! Thank you so much and again I have learned so much about adding depth and details!. I go over your tutorials several times before attempting a painting that is similar in design so that I can hone my skills and try new approaches. I love experimenting with acrylics and using a medium to keep them "wet" longer so I can move the paint around.
    I have thought about using oils, but just bought 6 new professional grade acrylic paint that I am currently experimenting with.
    Many thanks Marianne, your a wonderful teacher and I am so glad I joined this group :)

      Yay!!! That’s so awesome Pam!!! I bet you’ll notice the difference in the performance of the paints, it’s night and day! I find the biggest benefit to be the intensity of the pigmentation.
      I’m so happy you joined our group too 🥰

    Thanks for sharing and wonderful work. Do you let the painting dry between each stage such as the block in, modelling and detail stage? Or only between certain stages?

    • @MarianneVanderDussen
      @MarianneVanderDussen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically do! This is because I like to use a little bit of liquin, and get those first layers nice and dry, that way I don’t need to worry about disturbing them when I begin to layer.

    This is gorgeous!! Would you consider doing more in depth tutorials?

    • @MarianneVanderDussen
      @MarianneVanderDussen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely! This series is focused on small pieces with a quick turnover, so the timelapses are more focused on a few tips and techniques instead of going in depth. Once this series wraps, I’ll be doing a variety of tutorials, including just timelapses, and longer videos that go more slowly. I’m going to be doing a blend, that way if you want a quick survey, it’s there! If you want in depth, it’s there too. This series will be quick since I’m doing one a week.
      Also, if you want longer tutorials in the interim, check out my Facebook page, I have lots of paint night style pieces that I’ve done over the past few years that take 1-2 hours each.
