  • If you haven't tried dandelion jelly, you're missing out. Who knew that it could taste so good. In this video, I'll show you how to make dandelion jelly that costs almost nothing at all.

    2 cups dandelion petals
    4 cups water
    4 cups sugar
    2 Tablespoons of lemon juice
    1 - 2oz. box of powdered pectin

    Neat video, Tina! We are learning how to use many "weeds" in our kitchen. When we lived in the city, and before I learned about harmful chemicals, I would fertilize our suburban lawn as those communities stress that lush green grass with no weeds means a "healthy" lawn. All I was doing was adding poison to the ground we walk on and destroying the soil. Now we welcome the meadow of dandelions on our property and know that they are actually improving our soil by enriching it with calcium.
    Next year we plan to try using them in recipes such as this. 🙂
