th-cam.com/video/2dSCRbrPpEI/w-d-xo.html This was the one I had done for a straight. You just multiply the repeat patterns to get it as wide as you want.
I did the beginners videos and made the skull beanie from those. I tried to combine this skull pattern with that layout (so it was sized for an adult) and did ok, keeping the multiples of 8. However I wanted a thicker band between the skulls on this pattern but got lost when you only did one round and had us chain only one for the HDC’s. How many do we chain if we want to do another row of gray, Before moving on to the skulls again. And do we only chain one on the beginning of the second round of gray? Thank you for your lessons, love your videos.
Jennifer Moniec Thank you so much for enjoying the pattern! As for the band between the skulls, that chain up 1 is just the start up to the special ending used for that color. If you're going to put a second row of hdc (or anything of your choosing) you can chain up the normal amount.
Just the same as the first; after you finish up the separating row of half doubles you just start the new row the same with a chain up. This was an alternate style. The easier video is How to: Crochet skull beanie for beginners. That shows how to start from the ribbing.
I have two videos that are titled only with numbers. one is the second half of the full beginners tutorial that will show how the decrease works. Written is; Dc row 1: hdc in the next 6 sts, hdc2tgt, repeat all the way around. Dc row 2: hdc in the next 5 sts, hd2tgt, repeat all the way around. Dc row 3: hdc in the next 4 sts, hdc2tgt, repeat all the way around. Dc row 4: hdc in the next 3 sts, hdc2tgt, repeat all the way around. Dc row 5: hdc in the next 2 sts, hdc2tgt, repeat all the way around. Dc row 6: hdc in the next stitch, hdc2tgt, repeat all the way around. Final dc row: hdc2tgt all the way around. Finish off leaving long enough tail to sew up the center. Done.
th-cam.com/video/DDkMuRphwT0/w-d-xo.html They pretty much all start off the same way. Changing between a man and woman's size can be just a simple change in hook size. (Unless he has a pretty big head, then you can add in another skull by adding in a full set of chains. I believe the pattern is by 8.)
Could you do this from the very beginning? I am fairly new and can't quite figure out how to begin this pattern
There is a video that starts the hat from the beginning. Made a bit more for beginners.
How can a make this for a man and woman size please?
do you think it is possible to do this same pattern but for a blanket so not going all the way around but flat? I am a beginner sorry I wasn't sure.

I can't seem to find a video that picks up where the first one let's off. how do you start second row of skulls?

Ok I'll give it a shot thanks so much
Where is the link so I can start the hat from the very beginning? I have tried to find it for 2 hours now and can not find it.
That's odd. It's on my channel list. I believe it's still listed with the upload code it was given. A string of numbers.
Want a Afghan throw blankets skull
Wish I could find this from the beginning
You can check out the link in my comment below. 👇 You just make the band to the right size, then start adding the skulls.
