I already knew all of this since Beast Wars and Beast Machines. From combining his own spark with the spark of his ancestor and namesake Optimus Prime, to having the Oracle on speed dial and providing him an extra boost of power and energy. Optimus Primal is far more powerful and also wiser than many people realize, which is why he is the Maximal Commander because he aspires to follow the examples of his namesake.

To be fair, this isn’t the beast wars Primal, and that version of the maximals was noticeably smaller than Prime.
Optimus Primal had his forearm cannons before he got the trans -metal upgrade.

in the Power of the Primes version, Optimal Optimus is more powerful than Optimus Prime since he got his ultimate body from the Matrix of Leadership, but in Rise of the Beast he are pretty equal perhaps if Primal gets an evolution form he could surpass Prime with ease
Well in the movie he hasn't gotten any upgrades at all he's just primal, Rise of the beasts primal is basically season 1 beast wars but they beat megatron and stayed on earth kinda thing

why advanced robot pick ineffective animal forms baffles me
I wonder why, first Michael Bay, then the other directors in the last two movies, integrate the robots their weapons into their arms rather than having separate rifles that they carry like we saw in the prologue scene in Bumblebee and in the animated series all the way back to the G1?
People needs to stop that "everything needs to be like G1", but yeah I dont like the arm cannon optimus got in rotb. I think his ion cannon from bumblebee looks cooler

Certainly better that the Armada series, the Beast Wars/Beast Machines, The Prime series or the Bayformers IMHO
@@dragonweyr44 yes I agree. I think G1 did a very good job of building iconic characters and moments. I like how every character is so uniqe. However I love the lore and atmosphere from transformers prime. I like the more gritty and serious tone it has, and I do think it got the best versions of Optimus and megatron. This is just my opinion
I really just think that the movies needs to be its own thing and dont try to be exacly like G1, as long as they somewhat stay true to the lore, design and characters. I think they should experiment with different concepts at the same time as they stay trur to G1 and other transformers series.
I love bayverse, but damn it gets so much wrong about transformers
@@xandro5397 The reason the Bayformers suck so much and just got worse with each new movie was because Bay was only doing it for a paycheck. He couldn't give a crap about the lore or the fan base

Optimus Prime is the size of a real semi truck but Optimus Primal is the largest gorilla ever in history so not quite equal lol. We needed more scenes of Primal maximized !!!!

They cheated Apelink in the movie! And here’s why. 1. Apelink is/was a former Commander of the wrecker’s.
2. He was very smart scientist and designed his own weapons.
3. He was a brilliant battle tactician and use strategy to defeat his enemies not brute strength.
4. We never got to see Apelink maximize 😡. Now you know all of what I just explained about Apelink! I hate it that they wrote Apelink to make such a bold move knowing he is wide open to one of Scourge’s deadly attack! Now mind you Apelink knew of Scourge & how strong he was! With that in mind Apelink never would have made his first attempt attack a brute force attack that would leave his self wide open for a deadly attack by Scourge. Scourge might be stronger than Apelink but Apelink knew that going into the fight. Strength counts for nothing if you can’t land a decisive blow. I get it Apelink probably would have lost to Scourge…but not before Apelink showed Scourge why he was name Commander over two different factions…the Maximals & the Wreckers. The opening scene of the movie could have set the stage to what’s to come later in the movie. Fans would have loved it and everybody would have Respected Apelink a lot more…That way when Scourge delivered the final blow to Apelink and Scourge stripped Apelinks badge of who he swore his allegiance too…we all knew Scourge earned it and when he wore Apelinks badge he wore his with honor! I think they wrote Apelink to lose in such a cheap way because had they wrote it like they SHOULD HAVE the fans possibly would have lost respect for both Optimus Prime & Optimus Primal and here’s why.
1. Optimus Primes first fight with Scourge he almost lost his life twice in one scene & saved by Bumblebee then was by Airazor.
2. Since we never got to see Optimus Primal fight engage in single hand combat with Scourge, the fans would dubbed him scared and a coward considering his former leader gave his life for the sake of their lives and the entire multiverse, even though the fans wanted to see Primal sack a little revenge for his former leader/ally.
3. Now this brings to last reason why Apelink got cheated out big moment. Now this is based on if Apelink didn’t hold back…which I seriously doubt he would considering his life is on the line along everyone he is trying to save. I see Scourge barely coming out on top during this fight considering Apelink is fighting for a true cuase and Scourge isn’t fighting for nothing but a multiverse annihilation. I believe everybody will back me on this one. There’s nothing more dangerous than a man, beast or woman fighting he or she’s life at the same time fighting for there family and the entire multiverse. So I see Apelink pulling out every strategy in his playbook to stop Scourge. Now moving to Optimus Prime finale scene with Scourge, it took the work of two defeat Scourge…and that’s considering Apelink almost defeated Scourge single-handedly. Now thing’s that should not have been able to do to Optimus Prime and here’s why.
1. Optimus Prime was easily bested by Scourge when they first fought, when it shouldn’t have been so easy for Scourge to over power Optimus Prime considering Prime has fault against a supped up Dark Energon Megatron and defeated him in single handed combat.
2. Optimus Prime has also fault clone copies of Unicron and are or as equivalent to or stronger than Scourge. Side note:(The stronger Unicron versions took both Dark Energon Megatron & Optimus Prime to defeat those versions, simply because Unicron kept making copies every time Optimus Prime would destroy one or even two)
4. We never get to see Primal fight Scourge one on one or even with Optimus Prime! Now considering Optimus Primal had to watch Apelink loose horribly to Scourge.
Now they probably didn’t show both Primes fighting Scourge because Scourge undoubtedly and horribly would have lost very easy and very fast considering the power levels of the two Primes combined or should I say working together as a team.
The movie was good but it definitely needed that punch in from Apelink at the beginning..because what we got was disappointment from Scourge said “ So you’re the strongest this planet has to offer…..” and we got showed nothing but wasted potential to a once two faction Commander 😒😤 turned into scrap metal in front of the entire world….
