It does.. However.. Iv been scratchbuilding boats since i was 13.. Rc boats and ships were my entry to the hobby way back when.. This cargo ship is a bit special as i build it when in lockdown..
You need to line up the prop shaft and the motor better, as it shows when you were turning it, the whole motor assembly moves. A bathtub is a great idea to use for balancing a model to the waterline, which I have used many times for the models I have built. You also need to run the aerial for the remote vertical as that is probably a reason why you are losing signal when it goes away from you and you are having intermittent control of it. Put a rubber O ring on the shaft before the coupling which will reduce the ingress of water up the shaft into the model.
Thanks for your comment! This model was first built during the lockdown. I built it using only what i had at home.. Was a sort of challenge i set for myself. So its not a perfect model.. Would be nice to have a bathtub, recently i bought a kidi pool.. So future model can be tested here first. As for the o ring! Great idea! Too bad every thing is expoied in.. Next time lol.. Again thanks for the advice! Il keep it in mind for the next one!
Good to see it mended!! It's still the fastest cargo ship I've ever seen!! One nice scratchbuild😁😁
Thank you sir!! Lol yeah that redcat gen 8 motor really pulls!! Now to make somewhere to moor it.. Maybe some fo cranes...
Very nice bud. Looks much better out there now and the fix seems to work pretty good. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! Yeah i ended up finding the couplings but the prob shaft was too small.. (Narrow) so opted for epoxy..
looks amazing 😀👌👍👍
Thanks!!
Cruising right along. Got to feel pretty good making it from scratch 👍🏼
