A new clinical trial helps restore arm, hand function after spinal cord injury

Led by Washington University neurosurgeon Wilson Zachary Ray, MD, the clinical trial restores hand and arm function by surgically rerouting nerves. After the procedure, one of Dr. Ray's patients is now able to do everyday activities such as taking his own medicine and writing with a pen. The clinical trial is led by experts at Washington University, and it is also being conducted at seven universities in the US.
