As a child, in autumn, walking from my grandma's house back home, I could smell the sweetest and lovely perfume ever in the air. Unfortunately, at that time, nobody could tell me what is was, and the place and tree where it came from remained a mystery for over 25 years. A few years ago I was listening to this song and reading more about the princess, turns out that her attack called Kinmoku Fusion Tempest is based on a tree called Kinmokusei, Osmanthus Fragrans in the western world, it has tiny cream orange flowers and its scent is similar to that of peach tea. Strangely enough, its perfume can be noticed from a few hundreds meters, thus difficult to spot where it comes from. I started crying and I suddenly realised it could be the one. I have planted many in my garden now, and I can finally understand what Seiya and the other two were talking about when they could smell her nice perfume. It brings back good memories of my childhood and my grandma who has passed away more than 10 years before
Reading your story while listening to this really felt like a fairytale. One of the best soundtracks of the old anime. I bet your grandma would love it.
I had a stressful day at school, finally coming clean about a traumatic event. Sitting in the empty classroom I pulled out my phone and played this for some reason, I felt so calm.
As western-inspired as Princess Serenity and the Moon Kingdom may be, Princess Kakyuu and Kinmokusei take every bit as much inspiration from the east. I love that Kakyuu, both in design and origin, was meant to be inspired by traditional Chinese fashion :)

The Princess Kakyuu in the 90's anime was/is soooo much more charismatic than the Cosmos version. And I'm super glad that the '90's anime was wise enough to NOT show her sailor senshi form, because the planetary naming just doesn't make sense in Cosmos and in the manga #iykyk
