Personally I prefer the '67 first year and wing windows (I dig wing windows) that one has the 3rd pedal so that's cool anyway I'm with you Dan I vote for the '67
NOT a Camaro fan, neither am I a tri-five fan, but I love watching your content. It’s down to earth, affordable for most. NO I’m not just into fords…. Just partial. I truly love all of the classics
I like the 67 myself just because of the wing windows.I can picture this car as a 70s hotrod, rowdy small or big block, 4 speed, jacked up with cragars.Bonus points if you could find the hooker side pipes that look like headers!
Hey Dan, local fan here! I sold my 67 about 4 years ago and still have a few random parts. Rs hide away light covers, powerglide and maybe a few other parts. I will trade you for a shirt! Im Super stoked for this build!
You should build 'em both up to running, driving, and sell 'em. You should make some good coin on both. Just leave them stock so who ever buys them can do the customizing and paint etc. From a viewers point they'd make a good divergence from tri fives, (till the next one).
Not hating and completely open about being new to this channel, but ffs windows open and no windows completely uncovered in a place with similar winters to where I’m from ( Scotland) I mean c’ mon man, you expect any of the interior trim/ dash etc, (ie the stuff that matters because metal is relatively easy to replicate and repair) to be salvageable? Letting em rot from inside out, throwing shit on roofs etc,!Lmao 😂 Please give me a notification when either of them hit the road on a decent shape and I really will congratulate you bud.
@@gimble447 the car was in bad shape when he got it . ( Check out his newest video) With that being said . In 2 maybe 3 weeks the car will look absolutely amazing . Obviously you're new to the channel & haven't seen any of his other Videos.
You got two shops, build both them puppies! I enjoyed the "back and forth" of the last two builds.🙂 LS one of them, 5.3, 4l60, nice fuel sipping, power tour cruiser. The other one let it all hang out, lol. 427, tunnel ram, rock crusher, 9", drag 'n' drive???... 🙂 Don't forget lots of click bait thumbnails and muscle car references. Sure to drive up the traffic and move some merch. Give Mortske the old smack down.
My first car was a 1967 firebird 400 four-speed, bought from a salvage yard for $600 44 years ago. Got home and put in a battery, and it started right up. Talk about surprised. A few days later, I tried to start it and wouldn't do anything. I found that the flywheel was buggered up, and the starter was locked in the flywheel. New flywheel and a new to me (used) starter, and I was good to go. Burned up the clutch a few weeks later and back to the parts store, hahaha. I spent more money replacing u joints, tires, and clutches than I bought the car for. (Including more than a few tickets) Pontiac green, black interior, and no AC in south central Arkansas.
Much better than the 67 project I started with. I had to replace almost all sheet metal on mine. I had to replace both sides of the floor pan, trunk floor, both outer rockers, roof, roof braces, drip rail, upper cowl section, upper dash, both rear quarter panels, rear frame rail patch sections, trunk lid, panel in front of the trunk lid , rear body panel between quarters, repaired both outer cowl sides, new passenger door and all new front end sheet metal. I was able to use the drivers door , but it had been put on from a different car before I got my car. I put in a 3.42 rear end from a S10 blazer 5.3 vortec and 4L60E from a 2002 Silverado pickup and a complete new interior kit. I painted it Kirker Viper Red.
im at 17,488 in my ratty 71 Camaro build and it still needs the new floor pans welded in. yes there may be a lot of Camaros still around, but even they cost a small fortune to bring back. glad to see one on your show!!!!! peace
67 is the one to fix I like them because of the wing windows also and because it’s the first year of the Camaro and it was the year I was born keep putting out the videos you two are probably the hardest working TH-cam channels no you are the hardest working you tubers that I watch thanks for everything you do I appreciate you
I built a big block 396 SS/RS and currently building a heavily modified 55 big window restomod. Gen V lt1/8l90 with c4 suspension. How can I not watch this channel. Just keep trucking. Your doing great
Cool camaro's Dan! I have always been partial to the 69 with the square wheel wells. Look forward to seeing what u do with it! Happy Holidays to ya both!!!!
Nothing says winter holidays like out tripping in a winter wonderland of old Camaros and trifives. Other than a few wildlife smells its time for a field fresh frozen project to bring in the new year.
Man TH-cam must be doing well, that’s my dream car. I have my late father’s 72 bird , fresh hot 428 in it. But it needs bodywork I can’t do, just had a daughter with disabilities, at this point I know itl rot in my garage until I’m gone . Glad to see someone with money save these
Wow you should have had these done already these are my dream cars. I've always wanted one or two. The 67 is my favorite. I can't wait to see this build.
One of the guys I went to high school with had a beautiful white with purple pearl essence 67 Camaro but he never could get it to run worth a darn. But boy did it look good! A bonus, our school colors were Purple and White!
I would like to see you guys go and get the camero and bring it back to the shop and build it the way you want it then fix the other one into a nice roller with all the body panels fixed then sell it to supplement the cost of the two cars.
I had a parakeet blue '68 back in the day. I loved that car. I think you should do the DD Speed shop treatment to them. Make them into a fun hot rod. It'll be cool to see what you do.
My old girl friend had a 67 rag top her dad bought it off a showroom floor in NJ it had a 327 and 4 speed transmission with possie rear end and as far as I know it's still running around cherry hill
Man u doin it. U got em all. Sure wich i could have kept 7 or 9 of them! Just a 51 shoebox ford with a chev 350 right now i am 68 years old cant give up yet! Dig your show !
I was wondering if you were still on you tube and making video's. All your video's I have been watching is 2 to 3 years old. Glad you are still moving along. Like your video's. Really down to earth .Thank you.
SO COOL, THE '67 CAMARO!!! It was built pre-safety stuff, like fender signals and seat belts, plus, it has WING WINDOWS! Wing windows are old school cool! Yes, Dan doing a Better Off Dead vehicle.......two dollars, where's my two dollars, yeah 👍. Roll up on the Sports Announcers in that wicked Camaro. Anyway, great video Dan & Dani.
I completely forgot about that one! That was beautiful! That's got the perfect 80s cruiser stance & wheel & tire combo! Loved the psycho newspaper boy! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tunnel ram old school hot rod one of those old girls. Would love to see you put your spin on something like that. Love what you do brother! You keep it real for all us guys that can't afford to spend mega bucks and would like to thank you for that. Keep up the good work love your channel.
Hard decisions between the two! I would go with the 67' because it's a ''67''....with all those parts and what you have stored beforehand....it will be an interesting build from the very start for sure --- Looking forward to it!!!
Wow Dan. Now you can start collecting Camaro,s like you do Tri-fives in general and now Nomads. You should make them as a Pair but Opposite,s like Yin and Yang. Seriously that would be Awesome. Think aout it. Ya doin great, keep it up. Peace.
I know you are a Tri-Five Wizard but I look forward to seeing you build one of these or both. "Fairly Complete" with the obvious exception of the Weight Reduced quarter panels. LOL Dan you are such an Optimist!!! We love to see you build old Chevys.
Yes, Dan,I agree completely.Go for the 67, nice clean and crisp, with the vent windows and no markers.3 pedals as well would be the icing on the Camaro cake!
Cool car Dan. Good idea to start selling some. Camaros are everywhere but so many people want them that you almost can never go wrong with them, you will usually make money on one if you make it solid, safe and fairly decent. This is right up your alley.
Dani was cya on previous sound issues. She smelled "it" when the door opened, took Dan a while. lmao The early Camaro's always had the best fully round wheel wells for the big meats.
In my lifetime I have a LOT of cars. Specifically two different .55 chevy's in high school as well as over a span of 15 years 5 different Camaro's. Go for the '67, make it an RS/SS clone pro touring with Rally wheels (the back ones can be made wider) Pacific blue w/black SS stripes. and you will have a doozy. How a his ('67) and her's(68) matching pro touring. I dig the channel my friend.
Noticed on the seat back that you dragged outta the 67 it looked to be from a deluxe interior package. The door panels you tossed in the video were hard to tell about as well. As far as the deluxe interior it has door latch levers which pull towards the person seated as compared to pulling up to unlatch the door. The deluxe door panels had the arm rest molded into the door panel compared to an armrest that screws on to the door outside the door panel for standard interior cars. Hate that I’m not able to add a photo in the comments here but for the deluxe interior there was also a chrome trim band that was run across the dash which for better way to explain outlines the dash around the speedo cluster and glove box. Base trim for the radio/ heater panel was a black wrinkle finish where deluxe had imitation wood grain. As far as your deluxe rear seat it has a pot metal chromed insert into the backrest of each seating position. The trim levels and options are almost enough to make a person want to set your own hair on fire with all the color combinations, different colored piping and inserts for the seats. Console options aren’t as aggravating but there were a few. Rear defrost was an option on the first gens regardless of the trim level but not too very common depending upon the region the car was built in. Your cars are both worthy of having the time invested to build them. Just like the tri fives there’s nothing that isn’t readily available for them and they’re a blast to drive. Friend of mine even has a 6 cylinder power glide car her dad restored before his passing that’s an absolute blast to cruise in. Finally managed to get a title for my 68 big block car so it’s finally coming off the back burner to return to making trouble on the streets. Good luck with these, really enjoy seeing y’all bringing cars back to life.
My first car was a "67 RS 327/275hp w/4 speed. I eventually swapped in a '68 327 with a 350 hp cam. Wish I still had it. Looking forward to this build. check the rear shock towers they are prone to rot.
Sounds like you need to get them to the rolling stage and just sell them , and man it’s nice to see the OG 55 , hands down my favourite of your entire fleet, can you bring that home and fire it up . Cheers
Personally I prefer the '67 first year and wing windows (I dig wing windows) that one has the 3rd pedal so that's cool anyway I'm with you Dan I vote for the '67
That "3rd pedal" you see is the parking break. Both cars are automatics.
@@NewbombTurk.Look again.. Tge E brake is over to the side, NOT near the brake pedal like a clutch is..
