Oh, Rachel! It’s all so beautiful! How huge your gomphrena is! Wow! What is that bright blue salvia called? I’ve got to HAVE some of that! I’m loving your plan for the pipevine. Be gone, armadillos! 🤣 They look so great! I’ve got a zillion pipevine caterpillars in my kitchen right now. Too many lizards, zero caterpillars getting past day two after hatching. I’m so excited to see how your cats are doing on the fennel. Omg the Peter Rabbit garden! 💕💕💕💕💕I can’t get over it! It’s ALLLLL so beautiful! And all those zinnias! Your party is going to be darling. What a fun way to welcome all your guests! You’ll be amazed at how many people will brave the heat to see your garden. We had a huge gathering at our house last weekend and TONS of people went out to see my garden. It was SO hot, but they went anyway! Thank you for the fab tour!
I love your cute up-cycled pipevine trellises!! Your Peter rabbit setup is pure whimsy! You perfectly captured the entire spirit with all the fun touches, the robin and the shovel are the cutest! Your pot arrangements have already filled out so much! Oh boy I cannot wait to see how your coconut experiment turns out 🌴 wow that water is so beautiful I’m so glad y’all got to get out in it and enjoy it!
Awww, thank you, Claire!!! You know I do love whimsy!!! In fact, I need to start finding ways to inject whimsy into every facet of my life! Wouldn’t that make things more fun?!? - Growing a coconut tree could add whimsy, too, if it actually grew coconuts on it! Can’t wait!
Thank you, Teena!!! I’m so thankful that things are looking well for the party! I usually don’t care what the front yard looks like, so there’s been a little stress involved with this. LOL!
Oh my goodness!!! That’s so exciting about seeing a Gulf fritillary! I can’t wait to have clouds of them here. Thankfully, the passion flower is growing by leaps and bounds in preparation for them!
Rachel!! The Peter rabbit garden!! I may have to steal the shovel with the Robin idea. I love it so much! You made the rock area look so good! Deanna❤️
Thank you, Deanna!!! Oh! I hope you do get your own robin and shovel! It’s just too cute! I’m going to keep that part of the decoration up from now on, unless it looks like the robin will fade.
BEAUTIFUL! The Peter Rabbit garden is adorable - the gardens are full of life and color. Perfect timing for your shower. My cat never returned so I've given the food away and cleaned up the pails of water - so sad but that is life with a pet. They don't last forever and I hope he lived his best life. I think your ideas for further decorations are terrific. I started to say it would be fun to see a swing hanging from under that 'shelter' in Peter's garden. I also think the trellis ideas look like tiny greenhouses (very fancy ones). Maybe just paint the three things on top of that white iron one - white like the rest of the structure and you probably wouldn't even notice them. Or if that doesn't work then try pulling them off. Your trip to the beach looked so fun and cool - loved the water sounds. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that likes to 'plant' tools in the garden to serve as bird perches - such a fun thing to come upon..
Oh, Mary!!!!! I’m sorry about your kitty!!!!!! I’m thankful that he lived his best life and that y’all had good times together and you can remember them with joy!!! - What a cute idea to hang a hammock under that bird feeder!!! I looked for a rabbit in a hammock and found the most darling one, but then I read its measurements and it wasn’t going to be anywhere big enough to make a visual impact. I will be on the lookout for something like that! - That’s a great idea to paint that wine holder trellis! I have the perfect spray paint for it, too! - I’ve kept my rusty shovel with the robin on it out in the garden and its whimsicalness brings me such joy! Thankfully, the fake robin doesn’t keep the doves from using the bird bath! They are all happy together! - I hope you have had rain and sunshine and many happy times in the garden lately!!!!!!
Hey Rachel! I can’t believe you are getting rain again & up to only 85??? We are dying here in middle GA…still no rain after 2 weeks & high 90’s! Things are frying here. Love, love the gravel garden bed with all the pots & the Peter Rabbit garden is so cute!!! (I’m on the hunt for an old shovel.) Thanks for the video of that beautiful water! (Love going over that Perdido Bay bridge!) Hugs from GA❤
Oh, Linda! I hope that y’all have had some rain this week!!! - Isn’t that old rusty shovel just the best?!? My husband brought a few down from his parents’ house, but they weren’t near as decrepit as I would have liked, and then he just happened to find one in the yard of a neighbor’s house while he was cleaning up their lot. God must have really wanted me to have that shovel. LOL!!!
That blue Salvia is so vibrant it looks like it could glow in the dark. I love your peter rabbit decor. I hope you bring the little sweater and shoes inside temporarily before it rains , wouldn't want to damage those treasures. Once again I loved your morning videos. Enjoy your week and have fun at your party.
Thank you, Sue!!! That blue salvia does look like it would glow in the dark! I wonder what it looks like to other creatures that can see more spectrums of light than we can? Wouldn’t it be cool to use some glasses that showed us?!?! - Oh, yes, I brought my Peter Rabbit stuff in. I can’t let that stuff get rained on or get sun damaged. They are too precious!
Thank you!!! Oh, yay, that you are wearing your gardening hat!!! Isn’t that fun and also, you don’t have to worry about what your hair looks like under it! LOL!
Awww, thank you, Charlotte!!! I’m so glad that you enjoy my videos!!! I hope that you have gotten rain! We’ve gotten random showers over the past few days. I would check the radar and there would be nothing, then all of a sudden something would pop up, pour down rain, and vanish!
Beautiful garden ❤ my hydrangea is on the east side of my house and doesn't get any western sun at all. It has done fantastic there, and I do ignore it...... ❤
Beautiful natural looking garden and pots, its a pollinators dream. Were having a rainy summer this year in Ireland we haven't had to water the flowerbeds hopefully July will be better. We had really heavy rain and windy weather on Wednesday and the three leggy geranium rozannes collapsed. I cut them back to the ground and they should come back for late summer.
Thank you, Nicholas!!! Isn’t it cool to know that if you have to cut something back, then it will usually grow fluffy again just to show you that it can’t be kept down, just like a gardener! LOL!
Thank you! I do love it when the water is pretty!!! The wind has been blowing in the extreme for the past week and now the water is red with tannin from the rivers. Yes, I’m in Alabama most of the time, unless I drive to Pensacola.
LOL! Yeah, I’m like Doug the dog on the movie Up. Haha! I do lose all train of thought when I see butterflies. I just wanna watch them! And enjoy them! And make them stay. They are like Maria from The Sound of Music. Haha!
Thank you, Rachael!!! And that’s a fabulous idea!!! I happen to have some spray paint that I can use on them! I will try to get that done Saturday afternoon, so that I can share the transformation on Sunday!
LOL! Oh, yes! For sure! I wouldn’t leave it out there for even an hour. Well, it will be out there for a least 2 hours for the party, but then I will bring it in. It’s just too precious to let the sun and rain damage it!

Love the Peter rabbit garden with the bird on top of the shovel! Everything looks sweet, inviting, and beautiful 😍
Thank you!!! I’m super excited about having that sweet little set-up to greet everyone when they arrive!
Everything is looking fantastic. Evolving soo lovely. And the peter rabbit theme is just so cute!😊

Saw my first Gulf fritillary in my SC garden. Was thrilled. Your garden gets better every week!❤

I like your repurposed “trellises”. You could actually spray paint the colored pieces that don’t blend- if it’s not more trouble than it’s worth.
