I noticed that people in Construction always have the nicest houses, or interiors because they can do the work or know the people that do the work. The kitchen looks fabulous. (although I would have put Calcutta gold marble in to match the cabinets). I like the choice of the unlacquered brass faucet, too!

George . . You are one VERY blessed man to find a woman who would move into a severely outdated family home and stay in it forover TEN years before you fixed the heart of the house ! After 10 years I think the only card you have to pkay is to give her a paper and pencil and have her draw the kitchen plan she wants . . .and then get out of the way.
The kitchen turned out great! I think George and Zoe works so good together!
Ohhh, modern aesthetic works well with everything 🥰 no need to worry about it if you got amazing interior designer.. I find this so satisfying, because george is always to the rescue with other people.. Im just glad they decided to do it, Finally.. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Such a amazing renovation.. I would of had a hard time being it was in the family for 80yrs.
I do understand that there was a need to have the makeover though.
Personally I don't like the porous countertops, I believe something will happen that will not be able to come up off them. And therefore be stained forever. It does look more modern now. I pray they enjoy their lives in this home for many,many years too come.

Exactly! I'm a happily married woman and I'm shocked by how incredibly selfish women are in general with their husbands. I can't imagine not including my husband in decisions. In our house it's happy wife and happy husband equals happy life.

I guess when I hear that term used I get a little snarky about it and probably should keep my opinions to myself. Why won’t she take advice from an expert. She’ll regret the marble when she can’t get the stains out and will be nag, nag, nag at the family.
Right. Of all materials available for kitchens, marble is the WORST and the most expensive. I would definitely not use her as my real estate agent.
Zoe comes off as extremely unpleasant and impractical. She wasn't excited about marble because it looked better or made sense. But because it was the most expensive. And why is she so concerned about resale value of his family home? This was not a good look.
I don't like the paint color of their house. Black is very dark for a young family's house. Just my opinion.
