How to pick multibaggers from small and microcap universe? Ian Cassel, Micro-cap investor & co-founder -MicroCap Club shares his words of wisdom and gives us an insight into his research about what goes into finding multibagger from small and micro-cap universe.
Investors should focus on smaller companies with ‘Real’ underlying earnings, he highlights. He’s of the opinion that one should look at the all four parameters before picking a company namely company’s growth in bad environment, stronger balance sheet, strong management and lastly companies that double their earnings in at least 3-years. Most of the big global investors started as small cap investors Joel Greenblat, Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch. “Small cap investing is much more difficult than what it seems as investors tend to get trapped in 'story stocks' while investing in microcaps” says Ian Cassel.
