OMG!! The places we go to fly, Yemen! This is incredible Théo, what a great throw and go! One has to wonder how did those monstrous dunes happen? Hey we have the same harness, Nova Ituis, love mine. Happy travels!!
What a great place to fly. I had one of those tours with a geological background in Oman. We were out there 3 weeks camping all over the country. It was incredible and yes, the cooking is the most important part because you don't have time for it 😉. I still dream of flying in the mountains of Oman. Unfortunately, without a group this can get very expensive.
Yes, without a group socotra is expensive. Although it’s very safe, political and flying wise ! The flying conditions are easy to read and not treacherous. But it lacks a proper medical attention and easy exit to European country for sure

Really nice! Like this adventure and that You made it there. But imagine more tourism on this VIRGEN NATURE sites? Hm? Possibly better not. You are bloody young, but think a few steps ahead. It is not all about service and how it works. Imaging all this people having much more financial potential going there. Hope this Islands government takes wise decisions. To make it the right way. Chapeau, to all Your Supporters and Your Team.
As safe as it can get for a country being in war... Also remember that it is an island far away from anything. If you have an accident you may not be able to get out for a few days, up to a week if you are not lucky.. There is one "hospital" in Hadibo, the main city on the island, but if you have to relay on that place.... might as well try to fix yourself up on your own...
Politically wise the country is I think very safe. Yes Yemen is at war but socotra is very far from that and we could not feel this at all, we never really saw the army anywhere and everyone was super relaxed. I think socotra is pretty different to Yemen. But of course as said on the comment above the hospital is an issue. You don’t want to go there so you have to extra careful not to injure yourself. Going back to Europe might take a while!
