- Holy smokes Morissette is really the best singer I have heard. Morissette Amon is without question Asia's Phoenix. I don't know where she has been my whole life. The fact Morissette can sing sitting down like that is unreal to me.

Andra Day had a Grammy Award nomination for Rise Up in 2016. Mori is amazing in every musical genre, including pop, rock, country, musical theatre songs, rap, but for me the top is when she sings R&B and pop rock/soft rock
She blew my mind. This is my second listen to Mori. I have to do much more. She is incredible.

I've seen this performance countless times and never tire of it. She is simply exceptional. She really knows how to evoke emotions in the listener. Since you have a particular interest in lyrics that speak to mental health, Bruce, you would like her own original song "Mirror" as an introspective look at self examination and insecurity.

Morissette's own composition Phoenix is similar in spirit to Rise Up. I also recommend checking out her other originals like Trophy, Mirror, Love You Still and Will You Stay. A must is Akin Ka Na Lang which was written for her, Undangon Ta Ni as well also written for her.
As for covers and medleys I highly recommend her Moon River / Usahay Mashup, her Rise Up a capella version with 3rd Avenue which is EVEN BETTER than this Wish Bus cover (often only Morissette exceeds herself) and the Bruno Mars medley.
Duets and collabs I recommend her with Daryl Ong "You are the Reason" and her with Sponge Cola "So Close" even as the latter is one of her quietest songs.
Epic performances are the 2017 and 2018 Song Festivals and "And I am Telling You" in Cebu.
Her a capella cover of "Driver's License" by Olivia Rodrigo is also special, also her a capella cover of "Fly Like A Bird" or her recent jazz version of "Akin Ka Na Lang" from "The Loft". She has a new album and a movie in the works as of now, I guess we will hear more very soon.
