Your videos are excellent, & your operation looks fantastic. We're a very, very, very small poultry farm in USA, & it's so awesome to see your operation...to see a poultry operation in another part of the world...through your videos. We plan our feed out per flock & also prioritize getting feed for the whole production time for a flock at once. We work in pounds & use that unit when figuring our feed...bags here are typically in 50 pound size & can be bought in singles or multiples or by 40 bags at a time which is 2000 pounds & called a skid or pallet...I will have to look up how pounds & kg compares to refresh my memory. We are trying a different production schedule this year to get a little different size outcome on our finished whole birds, but we do a similar process, too...using a point of reference & figuring out total feed for a flock...& we've based ours on every 100 birds. It's very interesting how you have feed consumption per bird broke down week by week, too. Very cool! Thanks for great info.
Planning out the feed and purchasing them for the whole production at once is the best way most farms survive right now in my country, cause of constant daily hike in price. You won't believe when I tell you that this singular strategy saved my farm hundreds of thousand naira in our last few batches, cause after our purchase, the price hiked to over 2000naira per bag and we were able to use the old price and at the end, market the birds at the new inflation price. For your measurement unit, I believe different locations come with different strokes... Lol Just as you guys measure feed in pounds rather than kg, there are places that measure their temperatures in Fahrenheit rather than centigrade, we use over here. That's for sharing your poultry operations with me...
@@farmsdiary Thank you so much for your feedback! It's very interesting! We understand about the planning ahead. It is a big help. In our area, we have to plan all our flock quantities a year at a time & book our processing dates with an inspected processor a year at a time in order to get the dates we want to start & finish flocks. It is very interesting to learn about your experiences in a different place. Thank you again for sharing your experiences! Many, many blessings!
God bless you sir for all you do sir... I'm an aspiring poultry farmer, I'm looking forward to taking your course. Thank you sir for this wonderful lecture ❤
Newhope is good, but considering the economic situation right now, farmers go for other good feed brands that meet up the body requirements of the birds and are more affordable
Would love to, but the current cost is not static, as its constantly changing daily, but will record it, once the cost, especially feed cost stabilizes for a while
I get my feed from a top feed dealer in my location. But I buy all for the batch at once... In that way, I lock on the price and avoid further price hikes, that might happen within 6 weeks of raising that batch
Hello brother, it's possible to have you WhatsApp number if u don't mind... I really appreciate what u are doing! Just started watching your video just today 😊

@twinoaksfarmpoultry wow, you just taught me something new I'd try to apply... Booking a processor or outlet as earlier as before the production

Excellent video, I wish you would do a video on the total cost of rearing in the current situation of the country and the profit margin.
