Nice! I mean, the missing paint sucks, like usual, but like you said: It's no where near as bad as some of them. The head really sells it for me - the paint kinda catches your eye and takes your view away from the missing paint elsewhere, which should always be Playmates' goal, I think. We all know they are trying to keep these at one pricepoint, so the best we can ask is that they limit paint intelligently. I feel like Mondo here does well, and I'm looking forward to finding him! Granted, you don't really get the over-the-top look of the original, but you can't deny this one certainly does look like a modern skater.
I think someone doing a little custom work could really make this figure shine, but it looks better than I had expected. Shame about the super plain board, but the rolling wheels are nice.
I guess the Turtles haven't been shipping that good. I still haven't found either of the punk frogs, Monkey Brains, Mondo Gecko, or the mutated Shredder figures. Very Disappointing!

Damn you, Playmates! Skipping out a lot of details on literally ALL of our beloved TMNT characters? Unacceptable, seeing that this toyline is one of the most popular. I'm still gonna buy this though. :(
I like how Playmates can make Giant character lik Mozar , Slash , and Leather Head short but can't make a short character like Mondo short. Mondo should be shorter than the turtles or at leat Mikeys hight but instead he's a big figure, I am baffled why Playmates would spend more money on making a figure worse.
another example of how the vintage figure has way more detail.. This looks little better than a mcdonalds happy meal toy.. Why are they so cheap on the paint? Its 2015 going on 2016, why would the detail get worse?

No comparison.Depressing how so far superior 20+ yr old Toys are as far as sculpting/paint/ and accessories go. Really wish Playmates left all these interesting mutant side characters in the oven a bit longer to really make them more memorable Toys 20 yrs from now.

This comes off as a McDonald's toy, what a travesty; especially when compared to the original toy line. Back in the 1980s we didn't really have adult collector toys, but at least the actual toys were awesome.
went to target today because it said every single figure I needed (including mondo) was in stock at my store, so I go and none of them are there, just some of the old ones and the mutations, so playmates is really making me lose interest in there figs, terrible paint deco, scale is even worse, and articulation, don't even get me started, and now every time I go to the store they never have a single new figure, to be quite honest who the hell cares about mutations figures, I understand its for kids as well, but I go to the store and hardly anyone buys the mutations, what's fun about mutating the characters together? because it looks funny? playmates used to be so good, I wouldn't mind paying a little more money for some more paint deco and accessories and articulation, why is playmates worried about their budget anyways? they make so much money from us buying their crap toys, they would make a lot more if they weren't so crappy. I'm not saying every single thing playmates produces for tmnt is terrible, I like their vehicles alot but recently I'm very disappointed in the figures, I mean the ones we see on display at toy fair and the back of the packaging, that's the figure we expect to get, not the crappy figure we actually get, this figure isn't terrible tho, actually one of my favorites out of the new wave, it still has a lot of good paint deco, could be better, but I've seen way worse, all I'm saying is that I wish the figure we see on the back of the package, is the figure we get, but sadly it isn't😔

I once saw a Mondo Gecko hanging out with a Newtralizer. Tiger Claw was there as well.

I bought my Mondo in a walmart in south western canada, and he did not come with a bio card on the packaging. Is this a common error for this toy?

Thomas Gonzalez actually they dont. Its just paint detail, at least they're sculpted. You can costumize them anyways.

such a shame the sculpt is wasted by lack of paint. *sigh. love the character though.
After a year or a couple months they'll release a one with a better paint job.

Cool sculpt! Sadly Playmates ruins another figure with very poor quality paint.
