My radiator also has a metal grille at the top and side panels, would I paint these in the same way? Should I remove them before painting or keep them on?
Interesting, I didn't know you could get radiator rollers, however, mine are double rads so they are almost touching the wall, and some of the smaller ones have massive fins that almost touch the wall, I usually take them off and turn the valves off and cap it, not much choice when the smallest roller won't fit behind!
@@PaintingandDecorating Not being a professional I looked up what a "lining fitch" is, it'd certainly do the job but I have no patience for that, it'd take ages! I guess you become used to it and can speed up with time, much like your cutting in videos.
@@Wilksey37 Yes, sometimes you have no other way as valves on rads are not looking good. We have painted whole rads with the wall colour fins as well, now that takes time.
Hi, always dust and wash down if needed, flat surfaces should be sanded down first. but yes you can just paint over if it's emulsion on emulsion or over old wallpaper.
I was looking for something to put filler in crack on wall behind radiator scrapers were not long enough so I used a plastic ruler that was very flexible jobs a gooden no one to remove radiator only a plumber who would have wanted £200 😁 no way

We use a lining fitch but I know what you mean.

perfect for an old fashioned radiator which doesnt have fins.
but not so useful if the radiator has fins.
Use small Fitch.. sometimes any covers can be removed.. small brush and take your time... Thanks
Hi, painting my room one wall dark grey and three walls light grey, currently it’s lilac, can I just paint over the top?

@@PaintingandDecorating do people still paint over wallpaper in 2021 😂 😂 😅😅
Thanks for the great video. I have 7 radiators to paint behind 😱
No worries.
Ngl, that was some rough painting going on. If I paid someone to do that, I'd be livid. Paint everywhere
Thanks 😊
Top of my radiator keeps going blochi when I paint it I gave it 2coats
How did you get paint off the radiator that you got on accidently
Did not... the radiator was getting replaced.
wouldn't it have been easier to drain the rad down and just paint the wall then ?
@@Stunl3y No, because he was making a "How to paint behind a radiator" video. Not a "Take your radiator off, then paint" video. 😁
@@The-Battle-Brother in that case completely negating the usefulness of the video.
@@The-Battle-Brother upon rereading I think this is the most stupid comment on TH-cam. Congrats.

Intense Truffle from Dulux your welcome

Great stuff, that's what it's all about thinking on your feet.
I think I'll just take the rad off, good video though mate 👍
Thanks
