TH-cam algorithms are reading my mind 😳 I was just thinking of looking up air fryers reviews and this video came up on my TH-cam feed. Rik is making everything look so yummy 🤤
I had mine delivered today and the first thing I did was to bake a loaf of bread. It turned out perfectly on the cake baking setting. The only thing I couldn't do was prove the dough. But I'm delighted with oven.
I have one of these and it is FANTASTIC!!! My main oven is now used to store my cooking tins. I haven't used it as an oven for months. Absolutely love it!!
Me too, had it since they put the gas and electric pricing right up, saved a fortune and it works so well, the rotisserie is limited to a small chicken but in our house of 2 its perfect. Never heard of the brand but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith....perfect choice we made.
My oven broke around 2yrs ago!!! I'm the same use it as storage.... Have had a Tower Air Fryer since but looking for something different as doesn't seem to come up to temperature.... Is this worth the investment
@@coolerkin We also have a tower air fryer and it still does OK, but we wanted to do much more and this does it well. The time it takes for a conventional oven to heat up, practically in the airfryer oven the food is cooked, example frozen chips from freezer to table in under 15mins(some less time) is fast, you can cook large ready meals easily, things like lasagne or cottage pie for 4 people...In the end you save time of heating up the oven and its also faster cooking and bigger capacity...For us its worth every penny and saved us a lot of pennies too.
I have an air fryer, here it's a convection oven. It truly does it all! Anything from dehydrating fruits, veggies, even mushrooms. It proofs bread then bakes it. It rotisserie, and slow cooks. Haven't used my ove for anything but storage for years.
I bought the chip cooking "cage" for the rotisserie and did some frozen chips. They came out perfectly cooked, crispy and evenly done. I would highly recommend it.
Hi Rik, saw you making the Teviotdale pie and order the oven right after watching it. Myself and my Spanish and Slovenian neighbours loved the recipe it came out beautifully, also did the Bara Brith and had a compliment from a Welsh friend and the aforementioned neighbours, thanks for sharing and keep up the great work. Between the HYSapientia airfrier and my Ninja Foodi I’m becoming quite an accomplished cook even if I do say so myself 😁😁
I’ve got an air fryer with a rotisserie, but unfortunately if the chicken is bigger than a sparrow it doesn’t turn it! When it packs in, will definitely be buying this one!
Great video! Looking forward to seeing some more of your videos! I bought one of these Black Friday '23 and finally getting around to using it. It's so daunting... so I'm hoping your videos will help to take the mystery out of it all! 😅
Before we get to this new clip,I do have a airfryer. I thought from the first episode that you were a genuine person, the way you deliver the recipes and now that I know some of your story I can understand the how and why you make these Video's. I wish you all the best Rik and especially as I am a former Brit. (Always)
That's a nice oven. I never used one of those. I guess I'm just to old fashioned. I brought two of those ovens from Macy's for my daughters. They like it a lot. Happy cooking with your new oven.
Its a great bit of kit - I'm not just saying that - I use nearly everyday and have just used it tonight making crispy pork to have with Pork and Kale (Thai) Pad pak kana moo krob. One of my favourite simple dishes. Best, Rik
Rik your knowledge of cooking is great and you present the recipes in a clear concise way…thanks for reviewing this air fryer..I was a little sceptical about air fryers but this looks great…just subscribed to your channel!❤
Hi great review. I love the little ovens and have had one for a while. I also found the dark round tins best for the yorkshires which I love Thanks for sharing
We've only got a small air fryer - never big enough to make a decent portion of chips. We have an Actifry too and it makes great chips but it tends to bash them up a bit too much, plus the inner pan keeps breaking on the hinged handle. Thank you for sharing this one, it looks good! x
Hi Rik, I had the same problem with my normal oven an uneven rise . So when I heat the oil I swirl it around the edge of the tin this helps it to rise more evenly, my mix is equal parts of egg milk and flour, with a touch of salt and pepper and a small squirt of mustard, it works a treat , with lamb I also put dried mint in the mix. its lovely
A very comprehensive review and still more to come which I am looking forward to viewing. It just so happens that my elderly Mini/Toaster Oven has just expired and I have been looking at replaceing it before now with an Oven with a Rottisserie anywayand I have been looking at this one or an Instantpot Vortex Oven. A Yorkshireman recomending an oven to cook Yorkshire Puddings is good enough for me.
Hello, thank you so much for doing this review. I have a Tiastar Airfryer. Ive had it for about a month and was petrified on how to use it. Your air fryer is simillar to mine. I will be looking forward to seeing more of your cooking with your air fryer. x
I’ve got the 22 ltr dual zone HySapientia, best of both worlds if a little smaller than this one. I’ve also got a 4ltr NinjaDual, I haven’t used my standard oven for well over a year, I use it to store cake, muffin and roasting tins.
I just bought one of this not long about a week. Bit nervous to use it. But watching your video has helped me. Thanks. Will have to get going and be brave. 😊
This is the first time I've seen your channel, really inspiring, I'm enjoying your enthusiasm. I intend to buy a HYSapientia air fryer shortly and will be watching for your recipes, thank you.
I have one of these! It is amazing. I have had it a week, and i have used my oven since! I'm so happy someone agrees with me! I came on to say i can't make yorkshire puds, so I will follow what you have done 😂
You popped up in my "air fryer" search. Perfect style for me but a little big for my needs, I think they do a 15L one though. You certainly have educated me and given me confidence to carry on winging it in the kitchen when I do get mine. How hard can it be right? Great video, thanks much.
No worries - keep checking in and have you seen the shortbread vid the other day that is cooked in the air fryer amazing results! Glad I popped up. Best, Rik
I finally got one of these. My main oven, has gone on the blink. I'm going to get a double hot plate to go with it, for boiling veg ect. The main cooker is going. I also have an air fryer. So I think I've got everything covered. Great review Rik 👍
Our kitchen is not a lot bigger than yours and currently we have 1 halogen, 2 air fryers, 2 microwaves, a pressure cooker, toaster, toasty machine, the obligatory kettle, plus hob top and oven oh and the slow cooker. I do like the look of these mind and trying to convince the boys have one as we wear the above out. It is an all in one as such so I might get room to chop a few onions. So far I am impressed and cant wait for the rotisserie.
Ive been looking to get an airfryer byt im older and not sure I'd understand how to use, your video shows mevthe way. Thank you. Im in Chiang Khong Thailand hopevi can order one from here.
Hi mate, nice video you seem to know what you're about. Just had one of these, and like you, I think it's a great bit of kit, well priced too! May I suggest a couple of things to you? When cooking your large Yorkshire pudding, slide out bottom crumb catcher, slide it into the top position and maybe block the fan action being blowing down onto y/pudding, while retaining the heat, (haven't tried as yet),....... and always keep the oven door in the open position awhile after cooking to help cool down.
I'd be over the moon if my Yorkshire turned out like that. I can never seem to get the same texture twice. Now that i have the oven(still in box) i must give one a try. Thanks Ric🤗
I've got an 18ltr different brand tried as few things in it ,found it good ,first think I did was one of your Salmon pastrys and little roast potatoes came out lovely ,tried a boxed cake ,came out fine a little bit lopsided like your yorkshire puddings ,one thing I've noticed is some don't recommend glass dishes ,seems things don't cook properly or fully in them
Hi Susan - yes the lopsided bit is down to the fan. This air fryer has a fantastic low fan feature but only for baking. They should have made it a custom setting - then this would cook like an oven as well - which would make this excellent. Glass sometimes does not conduct the heat needed to cook or raise (on some things). Best, Rik
Hello Chef, just made my Yorkshire pudding to your recipe, can’t blooming believe it come out like yours. Well sort of 😂😂😂 had a soggy bottom just a wee bit. Chef please tell me how to switch the oven off. This was my 1st time using oven. Thanks chef.👋👋

You know Mary i have tried that since getting the oven. I have found an alternative and it makes perfect puds in the oven. Will post the video soon. Thank you. Best, Rik
We have a Breville that is very similar and serves us well...though I sure wish ours had that rotisserie. The only thing is that clean up can be a pain when using it to fry. For that, I prefer our Gourmia bucket air fryer, and it works very well and was low priced at my local Costco. The bucket is easy to clean, and I avoid the usual non-stick coating by using a stainless steel rack in the bottom.
Hi Rick! Love your cooking! I bought the oven, which is fantastic! But my son tends to not clean the basket and I need to know whats the best way to get this clean, stubborn grease marks etc. Just don't want to come off in the sink using fairy or similar and a brush or sponge.....any tips???
Rik I bit the bullet and got The 24ltr I was going to get the 22ltr but the fact with the rotisserie problem and Pizza not cooking both sides thanks for your advice mate wallop
OK mate - the only way I can see for crispy bottoms is heating the heck out of a tray, then cooking on it. The 24L has the elements at the bottom. Thank you. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef that’s the reason I asked you rik I had a instant brands one and that didn’t have bottom heating element same thing bottom of pizza soft the only downside side with this one doesn’t come with chip basket and kebab rotisserie like I got with instant brands one any thanks once again rik for your honest opinion
Just bought one of these (in the US) and while its a bit of an adjustment (really as a good cook I find all the presets annoying) but I think this appliance has promise. Did not realize I could use toast to also roast. so that helps.
Hi Rik. I believe HySepienta owe U a pint (or should I say coffee) As I upgraded to this 24 litre , because of you. (If a professional chef happy) looks & cooks fantastic, so fast too. Thanks for advice. Happy shopper Redcar Steve
Sounds great! Hope you get o grips with it. I love it mate - The pre sets are good. i.e. they make as they should. Chicken breast cooks at 180 for 20 mins. Perfectly cooked - I've tested many times with a thermometer. However I always turn up the heat and give it another 5 - brown the skin. If you have some tips I'm all ears. Best, Rik
I'm on a narrowboat so space saving is always a good thing. When I renew my kitchen I think I'll get one of these (via your link) as my main oven, probably at shoulder level in a cab. I think it's 1800w from what I read, which 600w less than my ninja, which didn't work on the boat.
How desperate are you to buy????? Both are excellent. There is a problem with the rotisserie on the twin. Here's the deal something new is coming very soon and I have seen the first look - might be worth hanging on just a little longer. I have a new one here now - which I will do a review for - However the first lot sold out - so when its back in stock I will upload so folks can see. I'm waiting in the wings for the other new model - it looks amazing. If you need to buy now get the 24L if not just wait a little while. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Many thanks for that Rik-I’m not desperate at all. It’s for my outside kitchen-I’m a bit of a freak like that(6 bbq’s and just bought a Ninja Woodfire XL). I cook outdoors all year round(under cover obviously-it’s the bloody UK)🇬🇧 I’ll wait mate-really,really grateful to you . All the best 👍🏻
Seen your video on the on the air fryer. Could you tell me Country of origin? Think it could be Spanish by the name but you can never be sure. I am interested as I am measuring up a space to put it. Thanks.
@@BackyardChef Thanks for that. If you hadn't replied I'd have picked bake mode. So can you explain what the difference is. A conventional oven doesn't seem to know the difference between roast and bake.
I've got that oven it's brilliant to stop the oven getting greasey I use roastabags for my meat pop in the roast bag and pop in the dish and then in the oven
So if it cooks quicker, how long would you estimate - ie, if the chicken breast were cooking at 180 for 20 minutes, would they be cooked in, say, 17 minutes. Best, Rik@@francisraffle2948
Not impressed with the rotisserie. Upon my first time using it I cooked a large chicken. It kept getting caught up on the drip tray and there was a lot of smoke from the grease out of the chicken at 180 degrees. Cooking a large chicken creates problems an lots of smoke. However, wonderful roast potatoes. By the way, my recipe for roasties: parboil and, when cooling, dribble some olive oil over them and the scatter some herbs de provenance over them. Beautiful!
R lass thinks it’s too big and a bit pricey and thinks a cheaper/smaller one would be better. I smiled and ordered one anyway. As the saying goes it’s easier to get forgiveness than permission. It will grow on her
Hi Chef. I'd have like to see you make a cake and test the temperature differences bearing in mind (now) one of the comments made on this thread earlier. Perhapsyou can make a comment about it whenyou next make a cake? I have learned a lot from your videos. Thanks 😋

Wow. I bet its chilly at the moment. What a great way to liv. Best, Rik
@BackyardChef well, it gets cold but it also gets nice and toasty quit to with the wood burner. Which I do a little cooking on. 😀
That's old school cooking right there. All the very best, Rik@@markjones1337
Rik….I need your opinion please…🙏🏻 would you go for the 24 ltr model(single door)- or the double door version? Many thanks in advance 👍🏻
Thanks.
China. Thank you. Best, Rik
Would this cook a stew or casserole in an ovenproof dish? Which mode would you use?
It would and I would use any of the modes accept baking and alter the time and temp. Thank you. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Thanks for that. If you hadn't replied I'd have picked bake mode. So can you explain what the difference is. A conventional oven doesn't seem to know the difference between roast and bake.
I got mine on Amazon
i think you can change the fan speed too
Only in the bake setting - High and low. Best, Rik
Looks quite decent. Did you buy it locally (big C / powerbuy) or did you import it?
Online mate. Best, Rik
Id buy the oven if you could share your recipe. ❤thanks. Just subscribed!
Thanks for subbing! Best, Rik
Hi, How large a chicken can you put in this for the rotisserie?
Absolutely No idea - I haven't. Thank you. Best, Rik
not long ago (4/2024) i asked for something like this and now i see! still hoping to see about the double door
Thank you. Best, Rik

Nice one Barry - I've just done a roast will be uploaded tomorrow - they are really good! Best, Rik
I like them cold with Jam on,,, but im a Southern softy.... lol Yorkshire puddings that is...
Nowt wrong wi jam on - love it and I'm a Northern softy. Best, Rik
With Tomato soup for me... The Yorkshire pudding, not the jam.
@@toddoframsgate1393 i worked at Ramsgate,, train driver,, tom soup,, will try,, but it is a pudding after all,
@@BackyardChef good lad,,, lol
Seriously considering an air fryer, our gas bills in Australia 🇦🇺 are out of control
I've heard veggies are up too! Not good! Thank you. Best, Rik
It must be doing the rounds, I've just watched it on Graham gets about. It looks quite nice
I have no idea. Its a great little oven. you can see when my vids go live they all have a date when they do. This vid went up months ago. Best, Rik
Yes i can see now it was 4 months ago, i thought it must be a new item as it popped up with different revievers
It is an excellent little oven - I use it every day. Best, Rik
I've got that oven it's brilliant to stop the oven getting greasey I use roastabags for my meat pop in the roast bag and pop in the dish and then in the oven
Sounds great! Do you find the meat etc cooks quicker? Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef oh yes I found it cooks meat quicker infact everything cooks quicker with the oven xxxx
Sorry I meant cooking in the bag. Best, Rik@@francisraffle2948
@@BackyardChef sorry I got the wrong end of the stick xxx
So if it cooks quicker, how long would you estimate - ie, if the chicken breast were cooking at 180 for 20 minutes, would they be cooked in, say, 17 minutes. Best, Rik@@francisraffle2948
Well you sang its praises from the ‘off’. I hope you’re being paid well. Thanks.
No money for this video. Just my take on the oven, like it. Best, Rik
I want a job as your taster 😂😂😂
I would like that! I need to stop tasting as much! Thank you. Best, Rik
where can l buy parsley and puff pastry in thailand?
Makro. Go Warehouse, Tops, Central, Rimping, Villa market. Thank You. Best, Rik
Hi Rick. Did you buy it in Thailand?
Online mate. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Cheers Rik 😉🙏
I use lazarda can't see it what website did you use
I got mine 4 months ago from Amazon, love it. @@stephenainsworth629
How did you manage to get that in Thailand? None on Lazada or anywhere else locally....
You can ship in. Amazon is too pricey to send. Best, Rik
Sound quality is questionable, otherwise a great video. Mught even buy one myself.
Ok, thanks. Best, Rik
There are two fan settings, high and lower, you had the fan set to high.
only on the bake setting at 140 degrees.
hey chef can you do along term review of this air fryer
thq
Thank you. Best, Rik
Beautiful!
Thank you. Best, Rik
Does anybody know if you can get these in Canada
Sorry I have no idea - hope someone else can help. Thank you. Best, Rik
I understand this air fryer is from Canada...,perhaps I am wrong. I am in Tallahassee Fla...I. saw it in a Montgomery Ward catalog..Looks nice..
I have 2 ninja airfriers, but one of them will be going in the cupboard to make way for this.
Its a nice bit of kit. Best, Rik
R lass thinks it’s too big and a bit pricey and thinks a cheaper/smaller one would be better. I smiled and ordered one anyway. As the saying goes it’s easier to get forgiveness than permission. It will grow on her
If not, mate, it's going to grow on you - ha ha ha . Tread lightly and make something nice. Best, Rik
Hi Chef. I'd have like to see you make a cake and test the temperature differences bearing in mind (now) one of the comments made on this thread earlier. Perhapsyou can make a comment about it whenyou next make a cake? I have learned a lot from your videos. Thanks 😋
Great suggestion! Noted. Thanks for asking. Do you have this oven? Best, Rik
What's it like to clean?
The same as an oven. Depending on use. Mine gets hammered, to be honest. Best, Rik
It doers have two fan speeds apparently.
Only on bake setting. Best, Rik
