    Just a bit of appreciation for Knob's leadership and stakeholder engagement/management style. I like that he answers questions practically but also guides the narrative to remain calm, clear headed, sure footed.
    Most importantly I think is the way he sets the tone of how players are spoken of and written about. Having your team's back like that is always one of the most effective ways to inspires others to give 110% freely.
    He also doesn't scoff at things he doesn't agree with. He acknowledges why those might be things people think of, but he doesn't let speculations and anxieties run rampant. Super important in this high maintenance fan base lol! And he treats the media and us fans like we are all on the team with the players.
    The Oilers have had some good coaches, but I don't think many with this particular leadership style. I'm by no means an expert in hockey or NHL though, so I could be wrong. Either way, the team is in good hands!

    They’ve been the better team in both games so if they continue to play like this they’ll eventually take the series. They wasn’t going to sweep them so getting that first one is going to play dividends . Henrique should give them a boost hopefully Monday and of course home ice now. Go Oilers you got this 🤜🏻

      @michaelsjarrett because Henrique can kill too and he is less a liability in the defensive zone. McLeod has had too many soft plays in the d zone in the last couple games. His confidence is low right now. Let him sit a game and reset.

      @@BoxxMasterr You sit Carrick, you move Mcleod to the wing where he is and has been much more affective. Mcleod/Henrique/Foegle third line, Janmark, Ryan, Brown fourth line. And it's not that Carrick hasn't been good, but this is skating series. Mcleod sits when we play Florida

      It was a soft goal, and Skinner lets wayyyy too many soft goals in... I am tired of hearing about how Skinner will have a bad game, and will always bounce back. DON'T HAVE ANYMORE BAD F*CKING GAMES is the answer. I don't care how well he played after the soft first goal went in, he should have never let that first goal go in. The second goal, that's a different story, but the first goal, DEPLORABLE... It's like Skinner is daydreaming out there sometimes. Enough of this B.S. about how Skinner always bounces back. Not even Connor Mcdavids Team can spot an NHL Team the 1st Goal in a Playoff game. We thought we had the first goal against Monster killed when we adjusted away from the collapse defense. We thought that was a disease that hurt earlier Oilers Goalies during the Decade of Darkness and that we had cured it. Guess its a BadBug that just keeps coming back huh?

      @@barryjgillis No kidding, I am tired of having sweet smoke blown up my Tailpipe by the Oilers P/R Convoy.....they sure invest a lot of time and money in their Propaganda Machine. With Dustin Schwartz giving Daily Updates from his Toy Phone to Mumford ego-petting the Mall its been a Headcase of a Season , the Oilers have an extremely hard time making or receiving accurate assessments of their performances....Knoblauch will 86 Skinner next year.

      @@BobsUruncle-dl7cs game three, Oilers will adjust the first ten minutes to be more defensive, that will let them win next two games in Edmonton and finish them off back in Dallas if they stay healthy. Oil in 5 by most likely 6 at home.

      They all do. Vinny is as soft as sour cream and MacLeod is afraid of his own shadow. There's no excuse for the lack of physicality given when they play hard, they win. This has been a problem for a long time and couldn't be more obvious when McDavid is one of the leaders in hits...... The rest of the guys should be embarrassed.

      @@RickL_was_here Harsh - remember game 5 against Vcr? What did they (Vcr) do? Any idea how much hitting anything that moves takes out of you? How did Vcr do in games 6 and 7? This ain't football - it's a 7 game (potentially) series and you have to pace yourself. We almost beat them and would've if Ott hadn't been standing on his head in the first period. We got the split, lets see how game 3 goes

    Heres an idea....why not throw sand on the ice for 3 full periods instead of just the first 2 ....go All-In with no mistakes.... insert the MOST EXPERIENCED Veterans as per Games played ...no favorites.... TRUST the Vets like Papa Clutch....Dallas seems to thrive playing your current style so why not change the flavor?

      We didn't even have the puck!.....Atleast have control of the puck first before pulling goalie!!! Who knows maybe we couldve tied it up!? like many teams have done in these playoffs and won it in the end. Coach Knob can't make mistakes like this going forward.

      You always pull the goalie in that situation with that much time left, and sometimes more time left. The problem was the Oilers did not have 100% safe possession of the puck when Skinner was pulled. In hockey you always pull the goalie in this situation, but not until you have 100% safe possession of the puck, which the Oilers did not have when Skinner was pulled.

    Coach the players need to shoot more from the blue line. Just like the Stars scored their goal. How come we dont do that too? The boys need to stop looking for the pretty play all the time. Get pucks on net , score garbage goals!! The refusal to do so might cost us in the end....Yeah, the boys need to shoot from everywhere and SCREEN the goalie! Also, Bouchard needs to shoot more on the PP, AGAIN, looking for pretty plays there too! JUST SHOOT!

    This game is heavily dependent on strong goaltending, and Skinner is not demonstrating the necessary skills or resilience for the task. His performance so far indicates he may not be up to the challenge required at this level of play.

    Knob, you have to make it a priority to get someone in front of Ottenger and make sure he is blinded on as many shots as possible. Its a war, its a battle, but it has to be done to win. Ottenger is a great goalie, as is bobrovsky, so make it happen, keep somebody right in front of that goalie and get more pucks in the net. Good luck!

    Playing Micdavid 24 minutes and Draisaitl 23 minutes is just nuts this time of year and that is why between the 2 of them they had 2 shots with Micd having none of those. This coach is running these guys into the ice. Boochard had 27 minutes, who's watching the ice time for all these guys? Stevie Wonder? LOL, good recipe to lose.

      Right. And the Stars are more than ready for those two guys..which is why role players make a postseason team..one of destiny. The other lines make the most of opportunities where the superstars are constantly being pushed shoved and knocked around.

      @@mercywilliams2698 Yep so were the Kings and the Canucks. For some reason everyone thinks we are just those two players. From what I saw, we owned the Stars in the first period and game was over if Ott isn't standing on his head, and the goal we did score was from a 4th liner of all people. For sure we rely on them, but how is that different from any other team? All teams have 2 to 4 players they rely on to score on a regular basis. Our FOUR guys are Hyman, Hopkins, Drai, McD. I'm not worried, we needed to win one game in Dallas and we did, and we nearly won two games, we stayed step for step with them. Two very well played games by both sides - great series so far :)

    Start Pickard to rest Skinner. Coffey, you need to work with Desharnais on his positional play. He always seems to be on the ice for an opposition goal. Nurse can not worry about where Desharnais is, he needs to know. Other than that, Go Oilers!

      I would worry more about Deshernais using that big oversized stick illegally....he doesnt get a Hall Pass because of his size...and he is a Penalty Machine most nights. Im not sure why he was not attracting calls in the first 2 Series, but as we go deeper he is a massive liability he needs a very fast skating partner and hes getting it but needs another year to mature mentally .

    Edmonton got lucky against Vancouver. Vancouver was playing a third string goalie and almost beat them. If Vancouver had Demko we would have beaten Edmonton in 4.
