The thing about the Cuban flag being included here is: The flag itself doesn't actually have any communist symbolism. It was designed in New York City (a fact I like to share because I'm in the NY metro) in 1849. The blue represents the three military departments Cuba was divided at the time, the white represents the purity of patriot ideals, and the red stands for the blood of those who fight for independence. The reason Fidel kept it as the flag is because of the revolutionary element of the flag, same reason why he didn't change the anthem.
Actually the axe while yes represents capitalism, it is more often used as a symbol of authoritarian ideologies, the more likely reason it has an axe being snapped in half is to represent the over throwing of a dictatorship, since many socialist ideologies are anti authoritarian in some part

Well his research had minimal if any effort at all. For example the flag of a communist Bangladesh is just the standard of the president. It has nothing to communism (no marxist symbolism) and the text beneath the seal just says "president". There are more blunders but I'll just leave it at that.
1:59 Side fact about this flag that you didn't know and probably don't care about cuz it has no impacts on your life: the emblem in the middle refers to Kave the blacksmith, as he is usually considered the symbol of proletariat and revolution, he is one of the protagonists in the story of Zahak and Freydoun, an ancient Iranian myth, covered in a book by Ferdowsi, the Shâhnâmeh(the book of the kings)

For the Netherlands flag: Orange is associated with the king, and the 'Oranje blanje bleu' is called the 'Prince's flag'. The red colour would've been a better choice.
Some of these were actual flags used when the country had a Communist government or was a Soviet republic. Others are flags of communist movements within the country. The Philippine flag is actually the flag of the rebel National Democratic Front.
Some countries that were communist/were under Communist rule had their flags redesigned tho. For example, the flags of the Tajik SSR and SR Croatia were not used in this video.

All in all it was founded by socialits wich back then wanted to make it a socialist republik instead of a social one.
@@kjlat I'm Italian (so sorry for my bad English) and you are right but there are some incorrect things: "Repubblica Sociale Italiana" was during WW2 and under the control Of the Nazis (and Mussolini of course). It was founded by Mussolini and Hitler and was alive between 1943-1945 and was not all Italy, just from the center to the North, plus if I remember correct some parts of Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and France. Then you said a lot of correct things: of course most of the components of the resistance were communists and anarchists, and also most of the deputies from the government that founded the actual Republic and wrote the actual constitution were from "left-wing" parties, in particular Italian Communist Party (PCI) and Socialists (PSIUP) but we have to remember that there was also a big part of components from a conservative party: the DC "Democrazia Cristiana" (Christian Democracy, a party who were more conservative and "catholic", and collaborative with the US) and small groups of some other parties like Liberals and others, (but not anarchist). Then after some time the DC was losing consent within the population, and the PCI was getting bigger and bigger. So the DC was afraid that "left- wing" parties could have took the control, the US were afraid that those "left" parties could have led to a possible future collaboration between Italy and USSR and so DC decided to exclude the left parties from the government. In all Europe deputies from left-wing parties were excluded from the governments in 1947. Italy at some point of time had the biggest Communist party of all the "Western World", this led to a lot of trouble in our country, especially in the 60's, 70's and 80's, because of the influence of the US on our politics. Today the PCI is dead.
As a student of Brazilian history I would say they made a pretty good research. The closed fist is one of the symbols of ANL - Aliança Nacional Libertadora (National Libertarian Alliance), an anti-fascist movement of the 30's. Not actually a communist party but it was very associated with marxism and was mostly composed by marxist students. The red star above the fist also makes sense since is also the Symbol of PT - Partido dos trabalhadores (Workers Party) a leftist party that has been very influent in our country throughout the last 30 years...
