93 acres please help a brother out… I have a shure smb7 and no matter what room I record in either in my dorm at college or my room back at my house the noise floor is so high- before I had a cloud lifter the shure wasn’t really loud enough unless I went crazy with the gain on a pre amp but that of course made the noise worse, so I got a cloudlifter and now its almost TOO loud with no gain added from a pre amp. AND THERES STILL NOISE so I’m just lost rn. We need a recording set up video my guy please 🤣🙏 glad ur back man, ur videos are fantastic
This may not help in the slightest, but might be worth checking out a plugin called ‘Supertone Clear’ (which I’m not being paid to advertise by the way) but it can remove hiss or background noise from a vocal. If the gain is too high, you should be able to lower it on the interface end certainly, which you definitely must do to avoid clipping. Also check that you don’t have any other open channels that could be adding to the noise when you’re recording. I’m likely teaching you to suck eggs so please forgive me if this seems obvious and/or patronising.

Don't agree with this. A lot of people mistake hard work for talent. Charlie obviously has put in a lot of time to be where he is now. Be careful to say that people are just born with skill.
@jacobusbester1262 never said he was born with skills, he was born with an ability "gift" to feel hear and see more and do better than most with the skills and knowledge he picked up. If it's about hard work, knowledge, and craft without 'gift' , you'd expect AI to be just as good if not better than Charlie. people can study all they want, they'll improve and hone acquire skills yes, however there are certain levels they can not reach without being gifted. otherwise, we should have had at least 1000 stevie wonders , 2000 Princes , 2500 George Michael's, ABBA ...etc etc
Talented? Absolutely. However, it takes extreme work and dedication to actually synthesize that talent. He's been doing this for so long that it's almost 2nd nature

Ok this sounds like it is an interface issue. Are you using the same interface in both locations?
