@@sebastianromero113 hmm good question, played a to. Of SP back in the day, Yes in sense of linked campaign (not dynamic). No in sense of not armored focused (at least for this campaign :) ). Yes in sense core units gain XP etc. No in sense we are heavily story driven unlike SP. Hope that helps, see other videos too to get better sense of things, Luke (lead)
Great stuff! Have this wishlisted for a while, and I am patiently anticipating its release! I always miss that "human element" in Close Combat and Steel Panthers. I thoroughly enjoy trying to accomplish the mission while attempting to protect my pixeltruppen throughout a whole campaign, especially when I get particularly attached to one poor squad that always has the worst luck. Having an actual narrative that follows my troops day in and day out? I can hardly wait!
"The commander must decide how he will fight the battle before it begins. He must then decide how he will use the military effort at his disposal to force the battle to swing the way he wishes it to go; he must make the enemy dance to his tune from the beginning and not vice versa." - Bernard Montgomery
Well said. Montgomery, very complicated commander. So conservative in North Africa, olaying to strength advantage, then such a risk take at Market Garden! Luke (lead)
@@burdenofcommand2094 Perhaps if his chief of staff, General De Guigand, wasn't hospitalized at the time Market Garden would have been different. Also If Bedell Smith's suggestion of changing the Main Target to Vesel (where the British would cross the Rhine 6 months later) had been accepted by General Brereton we may have seen the British march into the Rhine 6 months earlier...

Absolutely correct. Our focus is not a dynamic wargame system (like Steel Panthers could manage) so much as a credible emotional and tactical leadership experience. Gameplay is around 70 hours. Who has time to do that too many times ;-) But I would love to do a dynamic Burden some day. Wildermyth showed dynamic narrative is possible. Luke (lead)

Hmm, the risk of too much narrative in a wargame is replay value and pacing.
