Beautiful truck. Nice restoration! I have a 78 Bronco XLT I've had since 1980. It was once a beautiful truck but, mother nature has taken a toll on it and it needs a total restore which I hope to do in a couple years.
Beautiful K5!!! I have a 78 K5 that I've done the ORD springs and Crossover steering. I do a lot of offroading, so suspension flex/travel is sort of important. Overall pretty happy, but the crossover steering has added lateral forces to the leaf springs and I can see/hear the front axle pushing side to side when turning the steering wheel. I thought a panhard bar would be a good solution, but Steven Watson at ORD told me a panhard setup doesn't work well with leafs because as the leaf pack expands/compresses, it moves in an arch. Not straight up and down. That causes binding in the suspension. Have you noticed any issues in that regard? Your truck is beautiful, so I know you aren't taking it offroad. That's the difference I'm sure.
@@matthewrusch477 I haven’t noticed any issues. It is a mall crawler pavement princess. What I have noticed is body sway with no sway bar. Using the soft spring packs from ORD. I think if I still had rough Country, I wouldn’t have the body sway. but I wouldn’t have the smooth ride.
@@205_bowties I have the ORD front sway bar and I still get a good bit of body sway with those soft springs. I guess thats the trade off with those springs. I had a rough country lift before as well and it would rattle my teeth out offroad. Night and day difference with the new springs. Looks like we have the same Bilstein extended shocks as well. I thought about trying some custom valved Fox shocks, but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. Keep up the good work on the Blazer!!!
@@johnwalker863 it’s currently a TBI 350 it has a computer in it already. But you are right. I should just freshen up the bottom end. I blew a head gasket last year. Rebuilt the heads. Now I have very low oil pressure when it’s hot at idle.
So sick man. I love the square body.
@@Bulldog-qe9is thank you
Looks so Beautiful perfect set up with those wheels and tires👍💪💪💯
@@Anth4044 thank you
She's looking great man!
@@ckscotty1746 thank you, I’m definitely in love all over again.
Looks amazing. Swapping in an OBS rear will match the width in the front so the tire won’t be tucked in the back👍
@@chrisgardner1431 thanks for the info on that. I will look into it.

Thank you, and yes please keep the bronco alive. Bring it back to its glory days.
Looking good. Very good video

@ i’ll take this soft ride and body sway over the jarring rough country springs. Thank you. Keep blazing.
Dont ruin it w an ls....no computers needed ! Its a classic. Just refurb the ol small block. Cheaper & ez to fix
