Great video! I used the multi-window mode of GIMP for a LONG time, even after single window mode was available. I actually liked having access to the image I was working on AND the desktop. If I needed to grab a color from a web page or something, I could do that easily in multi-window mode. I use a mixture of multi-window mode and single window mode. It was cool seeing how you set things up. Michael Davies has some _excellent_ tutorials on all things GIMP and I highly recommend them! Thanks for sharing these tips!
GImp is very powerful! Along with darktable, I use gimp for most of my photo editing ! One thing which I recently discovered is you can actually create a new blank layer, then use the cloning / healing tools on the underlying layer, but actually clone / heal into the new blank layer! So effectively an easy way to do cloning / healing, where you can easily undo any mistakes!
Any suggestions for raw editing? I’m looking for a Photoshop Camera RAW FOSS replacement? Rawtherapy and Darktable were a little over the top for me when I tried them.
I need to mess around with GIMP more often, I use Photoshop at work a bit and Indesign a lot. Maybe this weekend I’ll create a project and crank up the tunes. Thanks for the tutorial Tom. Ever watch Terry White’s TH-cam channel? He is an Adobe god, you will learn a thing or two from him weather you thought you would or not, ha.
This is some good shiz right here
Ta for this series, as I've been meaning to learn GIMP for a good while now!
Great video...many thanks

Thank you sincerely for some Linux app help, if I see another distro review I'm going to be sick...
I wish you could make more videos on apps and useful softwares.
If you could, please do a video on from where & how to install plugins to gimp...

you can change gimps shortcuts to the same as photoshops
Only almost... Many shortcuts don't work
I only get a single window without the panels .
How to show them
I thought a cat was leaning on the mic later on in the tutorial...
Which flavour of Linux is being used here? Looks like Mint but I am not sure?
