But I remember how he had the most fun out of all the performers. He was drinkin just as much as the rest of us, and then came down into the crowd and drank after his set was done.

Saw him in concert in Las Cruces New Mexico this past weekend 10/19/2018 And he SOUNDS AMAZING! Not a lot of singers actually sound like the videos but he is all natural talent!

+Josh Dimmock not to mention a lot of the newer guys are using a lot more electric guitar as a lead. while there are still some true "country" songs out on the radio today, a lot more have a rock sound with a more twangy tone and lyrics. kind of a good harmony of where classic southern rock left off but at the same time able to appeal outside of the "southern rock" enthusiasts. it used to be a niche kind of thing where you either loved it or you saw it as the red headed step child of classic country or even outlaw country like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Merle Haggard. I noticed all the classics making a comeback when Brad Paisley sang "Old Alabama" and it was a big hit around here. mostly from him graduating with my mom and me going to the same high school as him. but after that every other song I heard made a nod to the late 80's through 90's stars. from Joe Diffie to Bruce Springsteen. Hell even Brantley Gilbert made a song called "My baby's guns n roses"which I thoroughly enjoyed. very very good combo of rock and country. the past is coming back with a vengeance in not just their genre but others as well.
