hi again, just want to say you have given me so many good ideas. You are so mechanically inclined that you make all these adjustments to the machine look so easy .Anyways thanks again and keep up the good work. Jack
It will take a little work, but you have to disassemble the jack by taking it apart. Then you need to cut down the main support tube. The hardest part is to get it apart because they have the treads compressed to keep the jack from coming apart when you over extend the jack screw. It may sound difficult but once unscrewed the rest goes easy and no special tools are required. Remember the whole mounting bracket needs to be raised when you mount the jack on the frame to get clearance to swing the jack up. I did later after the video was taken have to weld another support to the frame when I add all the extra weight to the machine. I must say that the jack was the single most valuable improvement that made moving and transporting the machine more convenient.
Hi I'm getting this trencher . Would like to know if you could give me the model of the second hydraulic pump you installed that worked the best and the 1/4 house feed line you changed . How long is the new one and size where could get one my number is 610-730-4185 to text or call or email pine1401@hotmail.com thanks Mark
Hi, first of all i would like to say thank you for all the videos you made for this towable backhoe.I just purchased one and these videos really help.I would like to know how long or tall is this sunshade Bracket .Also how much does the sunshade cost because all the ones i found are over $300.Thank you very much Jack
The measurement from the ground up is 74" the name of the manufacture is the Original tractor cab Co. Out of IN. I found that one under $250.00 delivered from a dealer in southern IL. Sorry I can't remember the company name.
I envy you metal workers, big plus to be able to work with metal as if it were wood. What is the preheat for? Is that a diesel engine? My hat is off to you. Your workmanship is impeccable. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for your kind words. The trencher was outfitted with a diesel several years ago. The trencher is well over 400 hrs and not one problem for quite sometime. With the diesel I can run the machine a low rpm’s which makes it efficient. The real secret is keep it greased and never push the machine past it’s capabilities. The other important factor is that I keep it out of the weather.
Take your time while putting it together and use blue locktite. Also be careful when using Teflon tape not to allow any to enter the hydraulic system, that’s the number one problem that occurs in the valve body.
