Was anyone else disappointed by the inheritances that the grandkids received? A used car, money to buy another used car, and car insurance for six years? Why not college tuition, or at least a trust fund? Why did those kids get temporary and highly depreciating assets??

Your discussion about how media never shows the hard part of quitting smoking reminds me of the old Goofy cartoon "No Smoking", which is about Goofy deciding to quit smoking, only for the shakes and temptation to get the better of him, so he spends the rest of the episode running around looking for anything to feed his habit. It's an entertaining watch, aside from some racism and obvious drug use. It even details why someone might want to quit smoking (perhaps before the understanding of cancer was discovered), such as itchy eyes and difficulty breathing.
Guys, why are you putting down Dandelion Wine and The Secret Garden? They are SUCH good books.
Oh shit i think my mom listened to this guy cuz she thought harry potter was satanic even though he's actually an allegory for Jesus - chosen son, preforms magic, sacrifices self for humanity and comes back from death most of all they are both fantasy !!! ... yeah real satanic. And since that was the 1 popular book when i was a kid.... i basically didn't learn to read on time, rip =]
