Thank you for making this available to the public. TH-cam actually wants you to buy or rent this wealth of information. God bless you. This needs to be broadly publicized in order for us to do better and treat others with compassion and kindness. Much respect

These folks should have been given some sort of Medal for being the pioneers of trying to find out how AIDS started and trying to get funding for medical research to help folks who were dying of the disease. I think it was in 1982 that I first heard about it on TV. 41 Years later we lost so many wonderful people especially in the arts.

There needs to be a 24-7 cable network or streaming platform based on HIV/AIDS related news, HIV/AIDS movies, HIV/AIDS based television series, information on current HIV treatments and current medical breakthroughs in having a functional/sterilizing cure for HIV.

It was really horrible how much we all lost when so many talented educated young men (& some women, and kids via birth and blood transfusions mainly). A death sentence with the diagnosis and family sometimes blamed friends and lifestyle choices. I’m sorry for your long loss. I don’t feel that younger generation can understand the stigma and fear. Sex=death??? Years of incubation and then the sicknesses, rare and common. No COCKTAILS

I'm so sorry. God Bless. I've read alot of Books by LGBT Authors Patricia Highsmith, Gordon Merrick, E. Lynn Harris, (RIP) not to mention Frank Butterfield and they can put the Hetero Writers to shame with their novels.

This Movie left out several bits:
    1. Bobbi Campbell's death in 1984
    2. Gaetan Dugas/Patient O's Death in Quebec, Canada in 1984 (and him being evicted from San Francisco)
    3. Larry Kramer was omitted from this

Also, the HIV epidemic actually starting in the 1970s. A sequel to this movie is long overdue.

@@Mr.Majestic77HIV was indeed spreading in the mid to late 70s. 1980 is when things started to hit the fan though.

@@UnionAdvocate unfortunately that mean HIV infections was running rapid in San Francisco during the days of Harvey Milk.

@@Mr.Majestic77 Given the incubation time between infection with HIV and full blown AIDS, and the accompanying opportunistic infections, yes, it was indeed circulating during the Harvey Milk days. Thousands of blood samples were collected from gay men between 1978 and 1979 in New York and San Francisco for a Hep-B study. Scientists were able to find HIV in eight of these. Extensive testing traced them to 1976. Those were then traced to the Caribbean sometime in the early 70s.

Give Richard Gere his Props. This was the Second time he played a Gay Man. He played on e on Broadway in Bent where he plays a Jewish Gay Man who gets sent to Auschwitz and has to wear the Pink Triangle. Also Lily Tomlin's Character is based on Dr. Mathilda Krim who was on The Donahue Show in the 1980's to explain to folks how you can and can't get AIDS. Phil's Staff was so scared, some didn't even want to do the Show. Sadly many of the Folks who appeared on The Show would die. From CNN Tom Cassidy, Halston, Liberace, Michael Bennett (Dreamgirls Playwright & Choreographer), Rock Hudson, Ryan White and regular folks who had to deal with the Pain of being discriminated against for having the disease.

When Sesma Dritz was walking along the Hill, was she in The Castro area that is legendary in The History of San Francisco`s LGBT Community. I read Frank Butterfield`s Books about The Castro during it`s post world war two era that was so romantic. Kind of like a Gay Mad Men.

Is this just you putting the movie out??... that's great, but love to see a react to it. Most people don't know the movie so I try to ask when it feels right (Philadelphia reacts usually). Not too many have done a react of it.

Does this Movie takes place in the same universe as Bird Box. B.D Wong's Character in this left Ian McKellen for an Architect and in Bird Box, John Malkovich mentioned that he was suing B.D Wong and his Architect Husband before the monsters came
