how to build 4 inner shape after over lappin, em tring again n again but after over lapping 3 shape enhance.
I had the same problem. Here is my workaround. First copy the back object to clipboard, then do the step of subtraction using the pathfinder as in the video, then repaste the copied object to back.

Same problem as vipul kamble. Quiting: "hey i just cant seem to get the pathfinder step properly. it ends up deleting front rounded square which is in front and half of the one in behind. any thing i am missing". Though I later got it right using the steps I described, but trying to do it as in the video doesn't seem to work. Thanks for a good tutorial overall.

I have two questions:
1. Could you pls explain how i can get your gradients.
2. How can I get the purple lines?
Thx
To get the purple line. First go to view >Rulers > show Rulers or (ctrl+R)
Second in view menu go to Guides>lock Guides or ( Alt+Ctrl+; )
Finally click on any number on the top and drag it down , you will see the guide line, place it any where u want on the document, then go to the numbers on the left side and do the same. That how u get the guide line ( to hide it just click ( ctrl+;)
To change the color , you will see "preferences" button on the top in the control panel if u done see it then go to edit>preferences >guides&grid.

Kaukab Yaseen, managed to make the Logo, following your tutorial, but the trick with the Pathfinder never worked for me, had to use a workaround with the Shape-Builder tool. Any suggestions on using Pathfinder?

Selected the larger rounded rectangle and the smaller rectangle at the centre to subtract the inner one.. Tried to subtract the inner rectangle using the Pathfinder menu but it threw up an error that told me to select intersecting paths, even though I had both paths selected. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
