This sport is definitely more entertaining and interesting than golf, handball and many other sports in my opinion. They should definitely consider placing 'Sepak Takraw' in the Olympics. Although it's mainly played in Asian countries.

Like how just to serve a ball into the game, you gotta be able to do a proper split. I also like the part where in every single exchange you find yourself suspended about 2 meters in the air above the hard floor, and you have to quickly figure out, "Okay, how do I land so that I don't break my neck and my spinal?"
It's not that hard actually, it's really fun if you just know the basics. It just looks hard cause this was on a very competitive environment and doing a speeding flying kicks is necessary just as power spikes on volleyball are needed.
we used to play this kind of sport on the streets for a long time in my childhood but it had the central net lower to the ground and it had only 2 players per team and it was played with the normal football and we call it "leg tennis", lots of fun. :)
Sepak Takraw is game played in Indonesia Thailand and Malaysia since 20th century. ISTAF in malaysia is the one that regulate the modern rules. Sepak is Indonesian/malay word for kick. Takraw could be the real name in Thai, while Malaysian also call it Sepak Raga. Hope we can bring this game to world Olympic!
sepak raga is originated from malaysia bro and the history has proved it was played by the malacan royalty, the penang guys who was started to inventing the modern sepak raga, it was spread all over malaya and then to southern thailand before it got his new name sepak takraw, because these two country who played the modern version of sepak raga..

It's a major sport in Thailand, it's a minor sport in South Korea. Plus, many of the Thai spectators are clearly paid and flown-in since the Games were hosted in Korea and most Thai people aren't that rich or known for flying overseas just to watch events like Europeans are.
This sport is more dominant in SEA. And we kick something MUCH harder, a feather shuttlecock. Smaller and much unusual to kick. A ball just makes it EASIER.
