I'm from Bangladesh and I studied about all the indian leaders since an early age,and I find Dr. Ambedkar and sardar Ballav Patel most praise worthy among them.
Yep Ambedkar with veer Savarkar is very misunderstood. People hate or love them based on there own beliefs but no one actually wants to know who they really were.

Wrote 'mafinama' to british government to be free from jail.and promised not do anything Against british.and he did it. Then he introduced 'Hindutva' . He promoted 'hindutva' for the rest of his life.
*Dr baba saheb bhim rao ambedkar was* :-
1) Constitution maker.
2) a law minister.
3) a great economist.
4) a woman emansipater.
5) today's RBI runs over baba saheb notes.
6) a profound leader.
7) a great thinker.
8) revered with bharat ratna.
And many more to say but I have no word left. At last *jai bhim*

Gandhi is not recognised as Father of Nation by Government of India.
Dr. Ambedkar wanted a lot of things to be implemented in the country, he saw great potential in India, and tried his best to take necessary steps to change the course of this country towards progress, but how much do you expect from a single man when the whole parliament assembly is opposing him directly or indirectly . many of his suggestions which were ignored then, were implemented later in late 20th century. for example:-
1.division of states(for better governance; he proposed it in 1950's ) like Bihar(today Bihar & Jharkhand),MP(today MP & Chhattisgarh), Andhra Pradesh(today AP & Telangna), and some more[source: "Thoughts on Linguistic states"]
2. He was strongly against the partition of India into Republic of India and Pakistan. He even said that Pakistan will be willing to emerge back. But Gandhi and Mr.Jinnah and many others did not listen to this Dr.Ambedkar.
3.He proposed rights to women that they were never given in the country due to implementation of religous texts etc. How many Indian women know this I wonder...
4.Denied special recognition to J&K in the constitution. 4.the Preamble of India:
Please note the first phrase, "WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA".there was so much debate on this starting phrase in the parliament, while creating of preamble. Hindu Leaders said that it should be related to some hindu god because India will be called hindustan; and many other baseless logics were given.On this Muslim leaders debated saying that the Indian subcontinent was ruled by Mughal emperors and other Muslim based rulers, etc and proposed the starting with "In the name of Allah" or some phrase like that. when Dr. Ambedkar was given the chance to speak, he presented the logic that, India will be one of the Largest Secular, Democratic country in the world and he recalled the definition of a democracy"ABRAHAM LINCOLN stated democracy as "DEMOCRACY IS THE GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE, OF THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE." so the preamble should start with "WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA".(the preamble of the USA also starts with similar phrase) He was well-known for his brilliance and made a fool out of the well-known Indian leaders like Gandhi. He was invited by George V to his palace, was very well-known among the British political figures.

Even if dalits were rich then, no one would have given them any opportunities because of castism. So reservation was absolutely necessary...2 I agree dalit officers son taking reservation is wrong..but don't blame Ambedkar..blame that fellow....And Reservations is NOT the only thing Ambedkar did..See his works as labour minister,as economist, as law minister....Know him first...criticise later...His writing explain all..Have you ever read?

So I'm waiting for the day when RBI will print Ambedkar's face on 500/1000 rupees note.

Dr. Ambedkar went to Amritsar in 1936 with his proposal to convert 60 million Dalit to Sikhism, his first choice religion. The Sikh leadership, including Master Tara Singh, a high caste, had been advised by Gandhi and the Brahmin leaders to reject the proposed conversion as that would shift the monopoly of power from the higher caste Sikhs to the new Dalit Sikhs. Gandhi and the Brahmins also did not want the message of caste less society advocated by Sikhism to spread to the rest of India - the land of caste, to which Gandhi and Brahminical forces subscribed.
We can't follow b r ambedkar because he is great personality so we should to follow his thoughts.
