This game is so amazing I'm so glad you got to play it. You can see why we were begging for it lmao we knew you'd enjoy it. Your voice work was incredible I loved how into it you got. The storytelling is so good and it's really worth noting the details and foreshadowing either reading about it or doing a second playthrough. I'm so glad this game got the recognition it did and gained so much popularity, it absolutely deserves it. . . . . . . . (spoilers) Some of my favorite details are how Anya's appearance is based on Shelly Duvall and how the story is written around her. She asks about locks on the sleeping quarters, keeps her bedroll near the motion activated Polle, never drinks the mouthwash, can't stand the sound of choking, the baby crying in the ambience... I'ts really f'ing grim. Jimmy's freaky cartoon horse thing just to mess with Anya, his first instinct to get Swansea out of the way is to make a spiked drink and then manipulating Daisuke to put himself in danger- it's all subtle enough to keep you in the hero perspective that Jimmy's trying to paint for himself. Yet when it's all over you understand how messed up everything was in hindsight. Swansea burying the axe into the sunset, then calling Daisuke a useless ray of sunshine- The foreshadowing and themes of taking responsibility and running away from your own life, it's all so incredibly crafted. I really love this game and I agree it's one of the best horror games of late.

First of all: you are the ONLY jimmy in my heart I'm so glad this is my first experience watching someone play this game, I've only ever seen a few seconds of gameplay until now. I loved your takes on the game and I love how you put a sort of optimistic takeaway on part of it even with how dark and disturbing this game is, I don't think a lot of people would do that/be able to do that, at least not on their first impressions (I certainly didn't until you started explaining it more and then I understood where you were coming from and could see what you meant). (spoilers for the game in case anyone is reading this before watching or while they're watching the VOD) This game really gives you a lot to chew on (maybe I shouldn't phrase it that way for this game lmao). This is probably one of my favorite horror games that I've seen, I love how much this game does in such a short amount of time, it's so compact, no filler, everything has purpose, all while also not necessarily spoon-feeding said purpose to you. The imagery, foreshadowing, and visual metaphors are SO GOOD. The game makes you think and makes you confused and then when you realize stuff it's like an epiphany slapping you right in the face. Even if that epiphany slap is incredibly disturbing and horrifying. I LOVE this kind of stuff. I love how Swansea was a parallel to Jimmy while Curly was a foil to Jimmy. Swansea had done terrible mistakes in his life, but unlike Jimmy, he took responsibility for what he did, he recognized what he did wrong, took it on the chin, and tried to do good and be better (maybe even trying to be a better father through mentoring Daisuke(i) than he had been to his own children). He faced his mistakes and tried to continue forward for the little things. Meanwhile, Curly took TOO MUCH responsibility, so much so that he completely overcompensated and ended up making horrible mistakes. Jimmy manipulated Curly into thinking his terrible actions were Curly's fault, Jimmy forced him to take responsibility for what HE had done. Even when he was so desperately trying to "save" Curly, instead of maybe sacrificing a part of HIS body, his body that was uninjured and completely intact, he fed Curly PART OF HIS OWN LEG! Curly's leg which had ALREADY BEEN PARTIALLY BLOWN OFF from Curly trying to take responsibility for one of Jimmy's actions! Not only that, but he "fed" it to the rest of the crew too! He probably ate a chunk of Curly's leg himself! This coward couldn't even give a part of himself to Curly to "save" him and instead just continued to take from Curly and tortured him, deluding himself into thinking he was being some kind of hero. Jimmy did one of the worst things a person can possibly do and literally EVERYONE faces more consequences than he does for what he did. I'm pretty sure he didn't even feel guilty for what he did to Anya, I'm pretty sure his guilt was entirely centered around what happened to Curly (and maybe Daisuke(i), I think he might have just felt bad about him being so young and innocent and having to go through all that). Jimmy was nothing but a coward and an absolute selfish piece of garbage.

Each time, you bring the characters to life in such a vivid way, making them feel more three-dimensional and real, and it helps me immerse myself in the story, truly experiencing the game’s narrative. As for my humble thoughts, I really like the storytelling style of this game. For example, the way it first shows the disaster happening, then lets the player deduce some truths or lies in the aftermath, and later intersperses the story of everything that happened before the disaster, allowing players to imagine an "if" storyline-what might have happened if the disaster had not occurred. This approach actually heightens the feelings of despair, helplessness, and regret that the characters experience. I really agree with what you said at the end. Personally, if I mess something up, or if I have to lie to the people I love and care about, as long as it’s something that’s mine to bear, I don’t think it’s the end of the world. But the thought of them suffering because of my actions really tortures me. Yet, just as you said, we must take responsibility, not run away, because there’s always something we can do, and things can always take a turn for the better. I’ve been planning to get more into the fandom for a few months now and i finally got myself to watch this. It’s usually hard for me to keep my attention on longer videos and feeling guilty for failing to do so but i could pay attention properly for the first time in a good while. I also didn’t expect the summary and the taking apart of the game part at the end and it really felt like it pulled together both the stream and the game’s ending. Lighter note: my cat was watching the vid with me for the first half, jus5 genuinely watching and purring before falling asleep next to me

The story is so well written, starting simple and going so complicated, disturbing still (thank god it's polygon) Fear, guilt, and responsibility are always in a line, no matter how fast and how long we run, they will find us. Oh, I haven't commented yet. Thank you for the stream, Milord! That was one of the best games I've ever seen gameplay of. I can't remember a game that's made such an impression on me. My favorite character is Curly, because he's just a flawed human. And scenes with him can be interpreted in so many ways, like how much he knew about Anya's situation (it wasn't explicitly stated, like so many other things in the game).

Mhhm so I like horror but I'm sort of neutral towards notable horror games. They're certainly good but not too scary nor affecting me. This one however this truly IS peak the horror game. Cinema even. What a hell of a character study incredible and likeable set of characters with their (more or less) flaws and distinct personalities. Then there's Jimbo.... having flaws is human, but so is growth. He never makes real attempts at outgrowing his flaws, blames everything else for his own actions, tries to escape his heinous ones - and the crew had to dish out the consequences in the end. Curly in particular a fate worse than death... the gargling sounds, nasty. So *imo*. Even tho the guilt (of the visible consequences) was gnawing away at Jimmy, it merely left him with the conclusion that a quick fix can still make himself a hero in a way- and chose the easy way out. Or, you could say he was running away from responsibility and maybe even excess guilt until the end... I'll have to give it a 2nd watch or ideally play it myself. At the very least, he went out cowardly and it may be punishment enough. He is still human ofc... but he chose to maintain the personality of sewage water lel. People don't have to be inherently evil in order to do evil and free will exists. The game itself makes you question one's morality quite a bit, so things definitely aren't this simple. Which is good. I'm o f c also a big fan of the imagery in this game and the non-linear storytelling. Just brilliant. The former gives plenty room for analyzing and dissecting including Swansea looking back at his life, awesome portrayal and the visuals of the entire game are brilliant Overall, I get why it's a highly praised game with lots of fanart I'll be thinking about this one for a while. Mouthwashing, the game in which Jimbo metaphorically tries to get rid of the bad taste in his mouth but no amount of mouthwash can make it go away retroactively, tysm for the stream i always do appreciate hearing your thoughts at the end of each playthrough and Mouthwashing felt like it was made for you See ya on the next one~☆ take care

Oh, I haven't commented yet. Thank you for the stream, Milord! That was one of the best games I've ever seen gameplay of. I can't remember a game that's made such an impression on me. My favorite character is Curly, because he's just a flawed human. And scenes with him can be interpreted in so many ways, like how much he knew about Anya's situation (it wasn't explicitly stated, like so many other things in the game).

Whoa what a story. What a game. 😮
Mhhm so I like horror but I'm sort of neutral towards notable horror games. They're certainly good but not too scary nor affecting me. This one however this truly IS peak the horror game. Cinema even. What a hell of a character study incredible and likeable set of characters with their (more or less) flaws and distinct personalities. Then there's Jimbo.... having flaws is human, but so is growth. He never makes real attempts at outgrowing his flaws, blames everything else for his own actions, tries to escape his heinous ones - and the crew had to dish out the consequences in the end. Curly in particular a fate worse than death... the gargling sounds, nasty.
So *imo*. Even tho the guilt (of the visible consequences) was gnawing away at Jimmy, it merely left him with the conclusion that a quick fix can still make himself a hero in a way- and chose the easy way out. Or, you could say he was running away from responsibility and maybe even excess guilt until the end... I'll have to give it a 2nd watch or ideally play it myself. At the very least, he went out cowardly and it may be punishment enough. He is still human ofc... but he chose to maintain the personality of sewage water lel. People don't have to be inherently evil in order to do evil and free will exists. The game itself makes you question one's morality quite a bit, so things definitely aren't this simple. Which is good.
I'm o f c also a big fan of the imagery in this game and the non-linear storytelling. Just brilliant. The former gives plenty room for analyzing and dissecting including Swansea looking back at his life, awesome portrayal and the visuals of the entire game are brilliant
Overall, I get why it's a highly praised game with lots of fanart I'll be thinking about this one for a while. Mouthwashing, the game in which Jimbo metaphorically tries to get rid of the bad taste in his mouth but no amount of mouthwash can make it go away
