That open bluetooth feature is SICK!
I've been hoping for that with the Joying and Teyes radios for my truck build.
My plan would be to have the radio control a bunch of the accessories installed which have Bluetooth apps.
It will be a big time feature. Some of the accessories that can be controlled by an app in my truck are lighting (blueghozt), my ac system (restomod air) air suspension, gauges (dakota digital hdx), pedal commander, interior switches (switch pros/trigger6), and most importantly my Helix Ultra dsp!
Hell yeah this feature alone opens up so much opportunity, I didn't even think of half those things in your list! I can't wait for this patch man 💯

Rob, is there a way to customize the initial Home Screen?
@@edhammel9535 your home screen is a product of the launcher that you use. Try installing and running Nova launcher, it'll allow you to customize the home screen and add widgets and wallpapers and stuff too
I’m looking for Vids showing how to customize the Mark 6 user interface. Any suggestions? What can I say … I am a product of TH-cam university.
For example, editing the default Home Screen, changing colors of the buttons, cool apps that are a must have for Q owners, etc.

Awesome video, not a fan of the stock q50/q60 dual screen and its features but this is a game changer. May make my switch from G37 over quicker. Can you comment on the sound quality (assuming you have Bose Pro Series) improvement using music streaming (spotify, high bitrate apps) vs streaming direct from phone to stock sound system on BT?

I am really considering buying this unit for my q50 but am also really skeptical due to the many issues people have expressed in the main page such as bad CarPlay connectivity, Bluetooth cutting in and out, and some other details. Are these software issues or hardware issues that can’t be fixed? Has anybody else had these problems? How reliable is this product because I honestly would love this in my car

Hiya, my car has just started having the boot loop problem with the InTouch. Has anyone had any experience of fitting one of these to get rid of this problem? It seems the issue is to do with the DCU on the OEM screens, so wondered if this might be a fix as infiniti have pulled out of the UK market.
Having trouble updating the software from the links you provided on your support page. How do I download it to the usb and transfer that update to the Mark 6? I’ve been downloading it from a Mac computer onto a usb drive but when I hook that usb up to the Mark 6 I’m not sure what to do from there.

Hello with the mark 6 what happens to the DVD player I see there no slot do you have to add another DVD player or the DVD player still exists and works

How do you get internet data to work on the screen like to be able use google maps etc. Also can you bluetooth calls as normal because in your installation video you showed some small speaker/mic, I’m confused what that was.

Extremely well-done video, appreciate the hard work and detail. One question that leaves me on the fence on any of these radios is the glare. Curious about your thoughts while driving if you find it a problem?
VERY rarely. The angle it sits at makes glare a non-issue EXCEPT sometimes when the sunroof is open and sun shines directly on it. Thx for watching!!
I can't speak to the MK6 but the MK5 you cannot see while wearing polarized sunglasses. It annoys the shit out of me, but I do still love the screen.
Does the screen have dimming capabilities?

got a quick question do you by any chance know how much power does the unit draw from the battery wen the vehicle is off? does it power off wen the vehicle shuts off?
It goes to sleep so it can start in 1 second next time u start the car. I don't know the power draw in sleep mode but I'll find out. On my bench, it was drawing ~1a while fully ON

Does the MK6 have a built in mic and speaker like the PX6 fast boot or do you still have to use the wired ones? Looking to make a change, but don't want cords hanging everywhere.
No need to use the included mic speakers on PX6 OR MK6. I always left em in the box.

It sends sound via the AUX channel so it still benefits from all the Bose post processing/center stage etc. Additionally it has a 16 band EQ so you can find tune to your liking 🤘🏾

Thanks for watching! No it won't void your warranty. And the only way they can deny a warranty claim is if they can prove that the radio caused the issue. Check out Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA) for more details 👍🏾

Question. How do you reset the Oil life warning. i went to the intouch and reset it there, but its still giving me the warning and im at a loss. MK5 unit.
These cars piss me off sometimes. The menu/settings logic is weird. The warning you're seeing on the dash is completely separate from the "maintenance note"
You can remove/disable that alert under Settings - Vehicle - Maintenance I believe.
