- A billionaire attempts the first-ever privately-funded spacewalk as part of the SpaceX Polaris Dawn mission on Thursday, 12 September.
Jared Isaacman will join SpaceX employee Sarah Gillis to step out of the Crew Dragon spacecraft at 5:58am ET (10:58am BST) for a two-hour float in space at an orbit of 700 kilometres.
Today's attempt is the Elon Musk-led company's latest and riskiest bid to push the boundaries of commercial spaceflight.

That's the plan, space suits that everyone can afford and a lot more stylish than the Nasa ones too.
Not a foot out of the spacecraft! Spacewalk ?? This is reminiscent of The Emperor’s New Clothes !! How come in this 'space age' millions become spacefools !!!!!! Someone just trying to claim the achievement or the milestone without achieving it !!!! Its an achievement, but not (NOT) that achievement.
I suppose that he could waste his money in other inspiring ways.....like politics.
