You really do have the best travel vids online and unlike too many others (Sam Chui, Nonstop Dan, Josh Cahill...just to name a few), you're not narcissistic and feel that the entire world wants to watch YOU rather than the actual travel components. So, thank you for that and I wish other vloggers would follow your professional and tactful lead.

Sorry to burst your bubble but these kinds of buffet breakfast are very common in Malaysia at good 5* hotels. You’ll have a good mix of Asian ( Malay, Chinese and Indian ) cuisines along with Western fares, and at a fraction of the price you pay here.

I always eat out on a Sunday morning. Having just returned from my usual large plate of sausage, bacon & eggs I feel quite guilty. The amount of healthy breakfast options offered here is impressive. There does however seem a large quantity of food on display. How many residents is this for?
I might be tempted to eat my body weight in cheese, bread and fruit.
When I was there I thought the same but it was so hot I lost my appetite and lived off fruit salads lol

Ever Wonder? ...How do these luxury island resorts get and keep their food fresh? Large yacht makes food deliveries to the islands every day? Float Planes deliver fresh foods? Plane flies over the islands and drops parachutes? Resorts must have Humongous refrigerators and freezers and solar power or electrical generators?
Or... never mind - just eat and enjoy? 😄 Looks delish!! 😋

Trainy Paradise would be local, fresh, sustainably sourced Maldivian food, not food flown in from around the globe using massive amounts of plastic packaging and gasoline to satisfy cravings for green macaroons, Brie cheeese or exotic non-local fruit for extremely rich and spoiled people.

Is that the most insane breakfast offer in the world? I watch your videos from various ultra luxe hotels regularly but nobody else comes even close. I wonder how expensive it is for the hotel to maintain this standard, how many items are stored and offered the next day, how much of it is fresh every day etc. Lol that's the budget manager speaking in me :D
Aleš Drobek Most of this is spoiled and thrown away, very sadly. Rich people won’t eat day-old croissants, bread, bacon or fruit. This is killing the reefs, the planet and local wildlife. What’s the point of going to the Maldives to eat Brie and macaroons? When Maldivian local food is fantastic and a taste of paradise.
@@pressrepeat2000 I didn't expect they'd store bakery goods or fruits but how about all the cheeses, meats and sweets. I don't suppose they throw those away. As for bakery goods and fruits it'd be great if the employees could take them. Also I don't think they throw it in the sea? Surely there's a waste disposal system, especially in an environment conscious establishments like Soneva.
Soneva Fushi has zero waste (yes, food is shared with the employees, and vegetables and fruits are locally grown).

the Luxury Travel Expert That’s complete bulls**t. Very dishonest. You think they grow kiwi, grapes and melon in the Maldives? Almost no fruit grows there. Nor do vegetables. It’s an archipelago on sand. Nor do they have cows or sheep or pork. Etc. No cheese. A lot of the stuff doesn’t even grow in Sri Lanka, but is imported from Latin America, Europe and even the US, on the other side of the globe.
