3. Motions
↓ ↘ → - Press Down to Forward in a quick motion.
↓ ↙ ← - Press Down to Back in a quick motion.
→ ↓ ↘ - Press Forward to Down to DownForward in a quick motion. Easier done by pressing Forward to Down to Forward fast.
→ ↘ ↓ ↙ ← - Press Forward to Down to Back in a quick motion.
← ↙ ↓ ↘ → - Press Back to Down to Forward in a quick motion.
READ: For Special Moves to work you must do the motion first then press the last movement direction plus the attack button at the same time. Example - Gohado: do this first (↓ ↘) then press at the same time → + P. The same goes for all Special, EX or Super Moves.
4. Super Moves Motions (Super Combo, Ultra Combos)
↓ ↘ → x2 (x2 means press two times) - Press Down to Forward then again Down to Forward in a fast motion. In other words, press ↓ ↘ → then again press ↓ ↘ → in a rapid succession. Example - Messatsu-Gotenha: ↓ ↘ → x2 + KKK. (↓ ↘ → ↓ ↘ → + all kick buttons)
→ ↘ ↓ ↙ ← x2 (x2 means repeat two times) - Press Forward to Down to Back then again Forward to Down to Back in a quick motion. Example: Tenchi Sokaigen: → ↘ ↓ ↙ ← x2(→ ↘ ↓ ↙ ← → ↘ ↓ ↙ ←) + all Punch buttons.

The fact that Oni can throw a Hadoken with one hand and the Hadoken would still be bigger than others shows how strong he is.
he is a demon. However, gouken can also do hadokens with one hand, but i dont think theyre as big
Both of them are one of strongest characters in series but Oni is stronger
Chalk it up to how the Satsui no Hado further ups Akuma's power as Oni, even as he no longer has full control of it and has become one with it.

And apparently, in this Playable Version, *Akuma is fighting from within to regain control because EVEN HE thought he went too far with this!*

Capcom really made a character who waves his arms around every time he:
-performs a normal attack
-performs a unique attack
-performs a throw
-performs a focus attack
-performs a special move
-stops moving forward
-stops moving backward
-lands from a jump
-stands up from crouching
-performs a super combo
-performs an ultra combo
-performs literally every single action in the entire game

if you can play both evil ryu and oni
what point is there in playin ryu or akuma?
what would be preferable to those 2 over the other 2?
Different personalities? Could be a choosing factor.
i am speaking mechanicalwise/ease of use wise
like looking at this video f.e. oni has much more options than ryu, ken and akuma while retaining the basic shotomoves as well .. so why should i choose any of the former 3 ... i could at least justify picking gouken over oni because of his directional fire balls and he does have some of akumas moves as well ..
I know this is an old comment, but in case you were still wondering...
From what I've gathered from digging around,
Oni, much like Evil Ryu and Akuma, has weaker fireballs, a weaker dragon punch and less health than Ryu and Ken. Also, some of his tools are only useful in really specific situations(f.e. how often are you gonna need a projectile ultra that shoots straight up?). In other words, imagine Akuma, but with weaker projectiles, he's more technical, and your goal is more taking advantage of your opponents confusion to get great amounts of damage. You play Oni to have extra tools and bigger damage and combos, in exchange for less health, a weaker shoto kit, and being limited to a rather aggressive playstyle.
Evil Ryu is similar, basically being Ryu's Oni with a decent amount of stun
Akuma is a vortex character, meaning his goal is to knock you down, and have you try to guess what he's gonna do next before he can do it. Also, the only shoto with air fireballs
Ryu is an all-rounder, making him easier to pick up, and is better at zoning than the others.
Ken is Ryu, but more focused on getting in close than zoning
Gouken is... Gouken is almost a different character all together, having only a few shoto moves (minus the dragon punch outside of his ultra), most of which work radically differently than other shotos, as well as his own stuff. Like Oni, he kinda does his own thing
This is what I've gathered at least.

Perhaps a design inspiration.
I think his power is so vast that it's causing the balls on his necklace to burst off of it's string and away from him, like a big explosion.

If I remember correctly, Oni is Akuma after fully unleashing the Satsui no Hado. In fact, his name translates to 'devil' from Japanese.
