    A lot of people in the comments section dont seem to get their thought process. For a 2.5 lakh emi they will get “a” house in “a” location. They are not looking for that. They are specifically looking at this location and a house in that building. For this house their EMI at 9% interest for 20 years would be approx 8.5 Lakhs per month if they take about 9 crores as loan and put 1 cr as downpayment. Plus they will be paying almost 10cr in interest by end of term.
    They are at a stage of life where they dont want 20 years of EMI.
    They are getting the lifestyle they want for 1/4th of the price and they can shift anywhere they want based on the requirement. After 5 years if they want to stop working completely they can shift to a bungalow in tier 2 city and even that rent would be cheaper than the rent of this house.
    They have ownership of other houses which are more for investment and disposal. I loved their concept because most of us stuck in owning the house we want to live in and it makes it difficult to free up money for investments

      All the points you have mentioned seems like excuses to run away from the city. If they are likely to stay in some other location then they should be purchasing the property there asap

    To all the people who feel like following them should refrain from this because they are exceptions.
    If you catch exceptions you can land nowhere. I would suggest go by the trend and take a home loan which comes at low interest, feel the pride of ownership , enjoy the property in your younger ages. Once you get bored you feel like owning a bigger property. Hence you are up skilling and growing up. RENTALS WILL NEVER GIVE YOU FINANCIAL MATURITY.

      Its waste of your money to give in loan interest instead live in rent save every penny and buy house without taking loan even if it come in your late 40 or mid 50s. No care if you have own home or not but u alone have to take the burden of emi.

    this is a brilliant strategy, instead of thinking vertical, think & act Horizontal. I have been writing in the social media as well as to Govt. agencies, to concentrate economy not vertically but horizontally. The phase of vertical growth ends with concentration of focus on metro cities, which have become only concrete jungles, & now is the time to think horizontal. This will work best for the diverse nature of our geography!

    Big fat weddings support the local economy, it supports the vendors supplying flowers, decors, food etc. For eg Anant Ambani spending 1300 crores on pre wedding gets directly injected into the local economy of Jamnagar, atleast most of it. The trend towards minimalism when it comes to weddings will hurt these small vendors. Not a trend I would I like to see.

    • @swiss512

      Lol! You don't do that when you already have another assets. You always use yeild from those assets to finance your rent. You pay EMI when you don't have any other asset so you prefer to pay EMI instead of rent to create an asset. As they mentioned that flat is of 10 Cr so it's definitely better to pay rent than the huge EMI.

      Take it as a rich man already has a pretty wife and kids with her but still wants to explore other kind of beauties but doesn't want another lifelong commitment as it comes with it's own set of issues as well
      So he is paying for services and fulfilling his desires😆

      @srinidhikarthikbs981 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      EMI of 2.5L will not get them the same house that they are living in. They would have to downgrade their lifestyle. Besides, after 20-25 years, there's no structural guarantee of the huge apartment building they are living in. Owning an apartment in high towers is absolutely useless because you do not own any land, and also no guarantee wrt building's structural integrity. For them, 2.5L of expense over 20 years will yield them better returns than 2.5L of investment over 20 years. Returns for them is not always financial, they could prefer lifestyle, mobility, neighborhood, freedom ..etc.

    This is all total BS. The fact remains that Abhishek's venture is a total failure, his wife is as big a failure as their MBA institute ISB. Kushal should take examples from IIMA which is the premier most institute in India and not ISB which takes candidates who do not quality for IIMA in the first place.
