Nice Video! I have a few surplus guns, Mosin Nagant rifles, a Makarov, and a Mauser 1914. I, like probably everyone else here, wish I had been smart enough to collect these back in the 80’s! Unfortunately, I wasn’t. At some point maybe I will be able to add a K98k to my meager collection, but not now. These appear to be pretty nice. The Portuguese crest on them is awesome, and the tiger striping on some of the stocks looks great. Thanks for bringing these to us and giving us the opportunity to get one.
Mausers would have been a very poor return on investment if you had knowledge of the future in the 80s. For the cost of one cheap Mauser then, you could have bought a few shares of Microsoft stock during their IPO, and sold it now for enough to buy all these Mausers, plus one each transferable MP40, MG34, MG42, and MG08, and probably had money left over.

The tiger stripe stocks are walnut stocks and the later on in the war the German were running out of walnut for rifle stocks so they did the laminated stocks which turns out to do better for a gun stock than walnut. Just some interesting info for you guys. 😉
Look like they came from GNR ( Guarda National Republicana) stock because army stoped the using of the mouser after the colonial war they adopted the g3 only GNR had a lot of them and they still use them on parades never saw one in army with the portuguese crest
Most all of them I've seen(save one which only part of the bolt matched since there's several numbered parts on a bolt) have had the bolts match the receiver. Many bores have a lot of grease so it's hard to say. I'd say at least good condition, some will go to excellent but I'd expect good/serviceable.
That is cool but I dread to see what a decent one costs these days. Used to be able to buy them fairly cheap. Vet bringbacks all matching. Some had a duffel cut and you could repair those with epoxy or some other wood repair. Even exotic variants of Mausers were accessible for prices within reach. Like nice Israelis in 7.62 NATO or Norwegians(?) like I had, in .30-.06. Or dead-stock 8MM. Now I see some of you poor B's celebrating getting a ratty low grade Italian carbine, or something "Only 500$!". I'm done. 😪

Set upba spread sheet with the serial numbers and part and sort them to see if two or so rifles have a complete set of numbers!

These are some of the best condition K98's I have ever seen, my guess is the bores have to be VG...
I have a Soviet captured 1940 K98. It's in okay shape but I think im going to start looking for something a little nicer.
