      I liv in Norway and I use Cat S 62 Pro - it will not withstand -25. Even at around -5 and 50% battery the phone will switch off itself. Same is with under zerio temp + wind (even from bike ride downhill) still a good phone, but requires special feathre cover for cold

    I think the high drop test doesn't really tell you anything conclusive. As said in the video, it is way over the specs and that means it depends a lot on every single production unit. What I mean is, that a test of say 10 of each and getting an average would be more scientifically correct to be able to assess what brand is stronger in that particular test.

    My cat was run over by an 8ton truck, still works except the ir camera no longer functions and the camera lens is out of alignment.
    I've just ordered another s62pro no regrets

    I had a 'rugged' hisense in 2016, and it shattered horribly, didn't survive past the 1,5 year mark, and I had calluses of using the screen. I bought a cat s41 afterwards, and use it to this day. It's 67 months old, dropped daily (because I am that clumsy), and it still lives.

    Well they are good for hard use in construction sites & the thermal camera on the CAT is also brilliant. Can't see a use for a normal person

      @@rodrigofranca9787 At the momentDoogee S98 Pro is the best one for me personally. I'm not fond of Blackview using a non standard OS and as of today (July 2022) it still only says Doku 3.0 based on Android 11 while Doogee S98 Pro has the bog standard Android 12. As for the 5G, it isn't a factor for me since I live in the Swedish countryside and it won't arrive until it's time for another phone anyway 😁.

      it wont matter. i own cat s61, i drop it all the time. its so messed up sometimes i feel like i should oil the screen so i can see the display in sun, its VERY scratched up. Altho i leant down with cat s30 and it fell on a freshly cut rebar end with a screen from height of about 20 cm and screen shattered.

  • @westats
    @westats 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    What your "review" doesn't mention is that the Doogee phone with a cracked screen may as well go into the recycle bin.
    I'm in Australia and they don't have any local repair agents. Customer support from Doogee is effectively ZERO. They do not answer emails or even telephone. Social media presence is for sales only.
    I've now owned 4 x Doogee phones over almost half-a-decade, but won't be buying any more regardless how much I like the product. They appear to be good value for money, but once something goes wrong they become a throw-away item. ☹ #BuyerBeware

      Got a little hint for you no manufacturer is gonna make it easy to warranty your phone. More then half the time it's cheaper just to replace it.

      @@timetheory84 many many brands manufacture their products in China, but it doesn't automatically mean the quality is bad. If you are referring to human rights etc. there are so many brands you need to avoid to make sure nothing in it comes from China. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm just mentioning most electronics today contain China-made stuff.

      @@timetheory84 well the world is a big place so for me US of the A isn't my home turf. Am I wrong in believing the wonderfully American heroes of Apple manufacturers some of their stuff in China?
      It ain't that binary IMO (one used to say "it isn't white or black", but that may be non-PC nowadays)

      @@timetheory84 I think you're rambling on too much here. I'm just saying it isn't as simple as all countries manufacturing all the products needed within their own borders without anything coming from abroad. I'm not interested in involving US politics so I wish you a great life and I hope you get your wish that everything you'll ever need will come from within the country you live in and not a single thing from outsiders.
