I think you need to be really really clear about the 480. That only applies AFTER you have gone through 40GB of data. They are clear that data may be slower in crowded situations, but it's great quality and cost.
Were your comments on the data slow down based on exceeding 40MB on the unlimited plan? Have you done a speed test after exceeding the cap on the unlimited plan? Thanks.
My comments about the speed being slow were about when the network is busy and also after you use up the allotted data. I haven’t ran a speed test on after using all the data tho
I used to like using Mint, but speeds were really slow last time I had them. I'm using US Mobile as a 2nd line now and am getting better speeds. As am I also with Visible. Haven't tested of them traveling yet though.
Thanks for making this video because just recently I was thinking of trying out Mint Mobile. In my area T Mobile is the best so they were the best option. But I guess ill stick it out with T Mobile for now.
@@johnnyecrr Ive tried USM and the service was good. I compared Light speed to my current carrier Tmobile. And Tmobile was better not just in coverage but also speed. So maybe its the area im in but Tmobile was just better.
I just recently switched to mint….the issue I’m having is I can’t send a picture to android friend unlesss I turn on my data…and I try not to use it unless I’m away from home…I called customer care..they just said it was b/c iPhone uses a different something?….when I was with att…I had no issues at all
Mint wasn't working for me I had crappy service and usually dropped calls and data when watching videos. I didn't like that I had to pay 3-6 months or a year all up front and the service was sketchy at best for me in Shell Knob MO, Aurora MO and Viola MO. What's funny is that I pay $45-$60 a month for T-Mobile Metro and I have perfect service, no drops, no buffering, no tricks on bills.
That is odd though, that Mint would get different coverage from T-Mobile. For me it’s similar where I live, but definitely have to go with the service I get better performance with.
@@USArmy91222 I get blazing fast 5G and full bars of service with Mint. For sure its about the area. Mint was a step up in service for 1/3 what AT&T was charging
I don't know if it's because I have a pixel 8 which is known for bad reception, or because I have a mint sim card in the pixel and a t mobile connect in my galaxy s23 or what, but I get 5g ultra on s23 and usually only 4g lte on my pixel with both phones in the same spot. But the t mobile connect esim in the s23 is way faster and much better reception. Noticeably better. Thanks for the video!
I gave up Mint mobile also due to data throttling after you use your data cap. I tried them for 6 months. I'm a heavy user and their top plan wasn't good enough for me.
@evertonsway I am not super old(28) but old enough to where I like in store support and Mints customer service leaves a lot to be desired. My wife is still using Mint for now but she is mainly at home so it's less relevant for her because we have really good wifi. I also have a visible line but the coverage isn't great in my area so that's just an extra line. Metro has like 5 stores with in 5 miles of me so the availability is a big selling point for me. Visible has great customer service but the coverage isn't great for me. Another thing about Mint is I have also noticed the coverage is more like Boost Mobile TMobile which is inferior to Metro TMobile which on paper it's not but in real world use it is

Naah the 480 isn’t after 40GB. The service slows down to 3g speeds after using the 40gb. The 480 is not a condition of after the 40Gb

Sure thing!
US mobile has t mobile

Used to have Mint and liked the speed I got. Switched to Visible for their unlimited hotspot.
That's important for me as well, being able to have unlimited hotspot data

that's because Mint Mobile runs off TM's towers, it's not a problem specifically with Mint.it's a problem with T-Mobile's coverage in your area!

I had 55 plus and was supposed to have 24/7 service but it does not work. Only can call during limited hours.
I have the unnecessary plan never had a problem with buffering or anything, 5g service everywhere and I watch movies ALL DAY!
Nice!

That's awesome that the service improved!
I wish price was based on speed. I'd be perfectly content with 50mbps down and 20mbps up at all times.

Totally understand, I do wish they had truly unlimited to data
Most of my data comes from wi-fi so its a great setup but heavy data is not Mint's market. Working from home has many benefits
I’m with Boost Mobile I have had them for a year now and my dad got me a new phone, the iPhone 13
I bought a 3 month plan and am about a month and a half into. I don't like it I am going back to metro.
Sorry to hear about the remorse. Anything you don’t like about it?
