I hope all of this recognition may turn out to have landed you an actual drive, somewhere, sometime. You may not notice it so much because it's difficult to feel it on your own self, but these races woth the pro drivers have really helped you become a better driver. Just a few months ago you were a blabbering mess, then you were salty about getting punted, now you take it all in stride, and not only that, you're not far off the pace and showing some class skills in the process. You may not have the blistering one lap quali pace, but you're more and more consistent, gaining positions through patience and adaptability. It's not all just luck. When you drive past and through that many incidents and yet somehow get yourself up to the podium despite starting in the middle of the pack, it stops being a coincidence. Keep on trucking. Getting old or not, it's never too late to at least try to go after something you care about.
There's a pretty famous quote in sweden "The more I train, the more luck I have" - Ingmar Stenmark Basically saying if you train hard enough stuff that seems like luck is ingrained in your spine and you do it automatically without thinking...

colonthree even if you have pole it’s not your line. You need to watch your mirrors because you’re the first to go in the corner. Ofcourse people will drive agressively in turn 1 lap 1 because they’re racing for first place

Hi Jimmy! On the 12th June, GUM Garage, a racing organisation I race with are holding a 2hr endurance race on LFS and you need the series 2 version in order to race. More details are on their discord and it would be brilliant to have a professional sim racer participate in the race! The race is on Friday the 12th June and warmup is at 21:00 CET (20:00 London time) and the race starts 15 minutes later! I will also be streaming it so just thought I'd mention it and see what you think Jimmy!

Dear Jimmy. I really hope you see this message. Your channel reminds me of what youtube was like back in the early days. Where real people were just being their true selves and having fun. I admire how humble you are and every time I watch your videos I feel like I watching an old friend. It's truly a breath of fresh air to watch someone like you on youtube. ABT released a statement that he wasn't doing this to get a better result. He done it cuz he wanted to see reactions of the other drivers and for content on his youtube channel. He knows know aswell now that this was pretty stupid but after AUDI fired him another team instantly hired him in FORMULA-E so he basicly just changed Teams and I will be amused if he beats the AUDI drivers in the 5 upcoming Races. xD
Not gonna lie. I found your channel about a week or so before these big races like this and the 24h came about and it’s one of the coolest things I’ve seen. I think it’s really awesome that people have come together to do this kind of thing during these difficult times. I’ve been watching competitive gaming for years but there’s not exactly professional crossover for something like Call of Duty with actual soldiers or Rocket League with football players, and I have no clue what would go with League of Legends or Dota. Plus with racing it gets rid of the controller or keyboard which is great for bringing in professional drivers so they don’t have that big level of disconnect. The only real disconnect is the part of the brain that knows there’s no real consequences. It’s just an incredible thing to see and I’m really glad that you were able to be a part of that wave and I hope it continues it bigger and better things for you and everyone else!

Tyre pressures are the most important thing in this game out of any other settings to change. If your pressures are not good your car will drive like ass. Anywhere from 27-28psi is preferred after a 2-3 laps. Obviously it depends on track temps and your brake ducts as well for cooling or keeping tyres from not cooling. Jimmy had perfect temps. I wonder if he was given a setup for this race or he painstakingly did the tuning for this car, track, track temp, etc.)

Being as ACC is free this weekend i tried the Lambo around Monza. Great sound but my PC is just not poweful enough to get great graphics. Still Loved the Video Jimmer. Looked fun.
Another cool vid :) You should do a vid where U show what it’s like to race w/o any foot pedals. Just the analog paddles on your wheel for break & gas. I have partial paralysis in my legs & faster in some cars w/ the 100% on/off digital paddles than the analog foot peddles.

Jimmy you could really easily set up an arduino and a motor with a switch on your rig. Flick the switch and the motor closes the blind :)
