for Maria: by far CL27R for the ability to change battery on the field and because its slimmer and more pocketable. i dont want my flashlight to be an external battery, i have a dedicated solution for that. some electronists sell cheap 21700 from different sources. Edit: it also works with Fenix or Nitecore extenders for 18650 !
Its 21700 powered but you can put an 18650 with their adapter. I ordered mine, i have the CL28R too. Ill tell you if 18650 works with Nitecore adapter too. Im sure it will.
@@Maria-ls9ie i say the smaller one, CL27R is better, because you can swap batteries on the field. I already bought a few cheap (4euros) 21700 from some electronists who sell on sites like ebay in my country. Customised Olight's 21700 also work and i have 3 or 4 of them, too. The only advantage of the CL28R is that its work as an external battery. Useless for me, i already have Samsung external batteries. The CL27R is narrower and more pocketable, and its more lightweight. Also, important for me, its more good looking.
That’s actually a really interesting light, thanks for the review!

Ahh thanks for the clarification. I noticed that after i did the video. The adapter is a great idea, i have to look into that. Thanks!
You're welcome.
The adapter ALF-18 is specified somewhere on their site. I also have the Nitecore 'Battery Magazine' and it looks very similar.
Hello, I have doubts whether to buy the fenix CL28R VS CL27R. What opinion do you have? since you have the two flashlights. Thanks in advance

does it support flat top battery?
not sure
the battery must be longer. for shorter, you can use a button magnet to make it longer. BUT you can use a Fenix extender for 18650.
