yes please do a video on the wiring ... this is so cool. and can you put the links on where to buy the things needed.. =)
Ok I will soon when i get a few more parts in
wooow this is cool... I need one of these...
Video for wiring will be awesome, I want to do one DIY for fun
I’ll post one soon, I’m just trying to add the DSP and make it look cleaner before doing another video
odd questions lol but can this be used in a bedroom long term? do you know how much it would cost a year?
Sure, these are meant for long-term use. I’ve used them for weeks at a time in my garage with no issues. Can’t speak to power consumption rates, but it’s on the lower end of a mini fridge I would assume.
@so-caladv1179 nice thanks!
Just ordered the AC70. Waiting for Black Friday to order the FTM-500DR, my “Elmer” has one. The watt consumption section was interesting…I’m likely to use low power with a good antenna. Nice job.
Thanks, I figured adding in the wattage was an important part for mobile set ups. Glad it helped.
Can I have that?
I can build you a custom one. Shoot me a message.
Hi…After three years of doing this review is there any further feedback you can give. Did the CFX3 45 live up to your expectations in use ?
I still use it to this day, still going strong. I would buy again.
REALLY DO YOU SAY THAT MOVE 12V FRIDGE WITH THIS BATTERY.?
I don’t know what you’re asking
Is that a portable gps?
Yes, Garmin 66i
for Maria: by far CL27R for the ability to change battery on the field and because its slimmer and more pocketable. i dont want my flashlight to be an external battery, i have a dedicated solution for that. some electronists sell cheap 21700 from different sources. Edit: it also works with Fenix or Nitecore extenders for 18650 !
does it support flat top battery?
not sure
the battery must be longer. for shorter, you can use a button magnet to make it longer. BUT you can use a Fenix extender for 18650.
Its 21700 powered but you can put an 18650 with their adapter. I ordered mine, i have the CL28R too. Ill tell you if 18650 works with Nitecore adapter too. Im sure it will.
Ahh thanks for the clarification. I noticed that after i did the video. The adapter is a great idea, i have to look into that. Thanks!
You're welcome. The adapter ALF-18 is specified somewhere on their site. I also have the Nitecore 'Battery Magazine' and it looks very similar.
Hello, I have doubts whether to buy the fenix CL28R VS CL27R. What opinion do you have? since you have the two flashlights. Thanks in advance
Hello, I have doubts whether to buy the fenix CL28R VS CL27R. What opinion do you have? since you have the two flashlights. Thanks in advance
@@Maria-ls9ie i say the smaller one, CL27R is better, because you can swap batteries on the field. I already bought a few cheap (4euros) 21700 from some electronists who sell on sites like ebay in my country. Customised Olight's 21700 also work and i have 3 or 4 of them, too. The only advantage of the CL28R is that its work as an external battery. Useless for me, i already have Samsung external batteries. The CL27R is narrower and more pocketable, and its more lightweight. Also, important for me, its more good looking.
That’s actually a really interesting light, thanks for the review!
so good
Excellent information thank you
Great review, thank you! Do you know if it will plug into DC brands like Jackery as I have their solar generator unit?
shocking difference in top speed. I will say my 16 fx svho comes unhooked easily in rough water but also dont care about running as fast as possible at all times. At 59pmh a seadoo X4 with a 800 will keep up with your ski and would be alot more fun doing it
Brilliant work but that speaker is tiny. Looking forward to making my own thanks bud👍🏼
Do you ride at Fiesta Island? I see it says So-Cal. We should meet up. I have the same ski.
Thank you for taking the time to make a review and help us make a decision.
Oh sweet! You did exactly as I'm planning to do right now. I'm currently planning on using the rolling case Vault Pelican case to house my 2 Lectric brand ebike batteries. It's a rather large case, but there wasn't a lot of selection for cases this long but also narrow in the other 2 dimensions. I was looking for videos of the actual drilling and sealing holes processes. I'm so nervous that I'm going to make a mistake. But when I do start the customization of my case, I'll be sure to film it and post it on TH-cam but maybe on a new alternative channel to this one of mine.
WHERE did you get your case???
Does the 4100 have Bluetooth control for frequency and volume?
I love Dayton Audio for DIY. I had a 10-inch Dayton Sub in a DIY enclosure for my car many years ago. It was great, been a fan ever since.
The SAE port is for charging right? It just goes right to the battery lugs and you use an external charger right? When you charge do you open the case for heat or is it not an issue since the charger is external? Cool build. I definitely love Pelican cases, they are made in my home town South Deerfield, MA!
yup! the sae port is for charging, you can use it for anything though that requires power if needed. No issues from heat while charging with a 5 amp hour charger by NOCO. Thats awesome, would love to tour the facility if i every went there
Do you make custom setups?
Yes I do! I just opened an Etsy shop for custom builds at soundfusionlabs.etsy.com
Do you have a band or something holding the throttle in cruise mode when you were trolling?
no, it has cruise control mode
I could make the Wiring in the Lid a lot neater-so could you. That being said, I think you've done a FABULOUS job with this!!!!! I would DEFINITELY find some way to put an Inverter into the system.
Can the handle be removed so the fridge is flush without the handles?
I am sure you can, but it is not a quick disconnect
Hi! Can you power devices and charge from the solar panel at the same time with this setup? My panel generates bout 19v (open circuit) and I think 12-15v closed. Worried that I might fry the 12v usp ports without a controller. Thanks for making this video!
I have charged it and used it at the same time with no issues, it was with a wall charger though not a solar panel. I want to get panels soon since I am going to using it for a trailer. A charge controller should work no problem, I'll be adding one soon. Thanks!
@@so-caladv1179 so cool! I’m building a mini version of what you’re doing. It’s in a small pelican case I no longer use but doesn’t have room for a controller. My trickle charge panel ( 12v, 10w, .5A )supposedly has a built in controller so even though it generates 19v (open circuit) the manufacturer says it’s safe to plug into the car. So far it works great so I bought a second. Wondering tho if it’s safe to power a USB port like yours if plugged into a battery (closed circuit with resistance). What do you think?
Very nice build👍
Thanks 👍
i would try the other impeller back in with the riva grate as it is able to remove the water better when the grate is over stuffing the pump your RPM should drop as well
isn’t there a cheaper case from harbor freight you could use? apache equivalent?
Not with those exact dimensions
Kinda crazy. I've always been wondering why I'm below average for my mods including the Riva intake grate. I'm still baffled tho. I've placed both my Riva and my OEM intake grate side by side and the only difference i see is the center bar is removed on the Riva. Did u put them side by side with each other for a comparison? It's baffling!
I'm looking for something like this for some jungle I am homesteading ... humid and has a rainy season. Curious what inverter you would install theoretically. Personally probably some kind of fridge, a table / mitre saw (15 Amp?) would be my largest loads... though a shop vac(7.8 amp) , small compressor (12 amp) and a pressure washer (13 Amp) not all simultaneously of course ... no idea what start up draws would be.... is this even doable?
Good question, the inverter you choose depends on what you will/need to be running. Most 2000 watt inverters are good and can power most things and they do have an amp rating. You just have to pair your equipment with the correct wattage/amperage inverter. Startup amps are always higher so I am not sure of the peak amp draw your equipment pulls on startup.
This is 12V only? What power station are you comparing it to price-was that doesn't come with a built-in inverter, A/C charger and solar charge controller?
Right now its 12v, was rating the time off the dometic cfx3 w/ 1-1.5 AH draw. If i need an A/C inverter I have to hook it up manually to the battery, its not built into the box.
How you liking the gx? Thinking of getting this over the landcruiser due to size.
I have 20,000 miles on it now and it's the best vehicle I've ever had. To me it's a perfect size, last week I had seven people in there with the back row and it was super comfortable. just enough for what I need. I would 100% purchase again
What is the fan really cooling? If you had an AC inverter then it would make more sense. Also think about natural convection for cooling. Battery is also going to need some type of charge controller. Anyway, I want one!!!!
It gets hot in direct sunlight. Imagine 110 direct sunlight all day, the vent exhaust is hot! A inverter would definitely need it as well.
What size charger do you recommend? Is a 20 amp overkill?
Depends on how fast you need to charge it. I use a 5ah charger and leave it overnight.
Any idea what temp the freezer option goes down to?
I believe -8F.
How do you charge it? I saw you have a charging port, but it looked like it went straight to the battery. Do you have a solar charge controller or do you use a AC charger?
The attached port is a SAE port, so right now I just charge it with an AC charger. You can easily put a solar charger connection I just didn't because I don't have panels.
How much would you charge to build me one? minus the battery and panel on the back. lol
Fully built only, $1250 with battery.

What do you think between a 2022 smc hull FX HO stage 1, vs a 2021 stock kawasaki ultra 310lx?
go with the ultra
I have ridden the 310R a few times. It is ridiculous acceleration and you need to have some good upper body strength to ride it lol
I’ve been looking at the KO2s, but only seeing them offered in Load Range: E. Is that what you have? Curious how much the ride suffered compared to stock setup?
still very smooth. KO2's are awesome
Where’s the Yamaha?
I sold it and got a supercharger Kawasaki 😎

Can you connect the AC and DC at the same time? Will it automatically switch over to AC usage in that case?
I heard it can cause problems. I only use power source at a time and do not hook up both
Is it water resistant?
Not sure, I had it in light rain and it was fine though.
Thanks for the vid. Have one on order. Bullet-proof design. The touch screen brings the tech up enough for me.
Agreed. I love it. Just hit 10k miles 😃
awesome ride..nothing better than baja where life slows down and fish tacos are the bbest
Looks great with bigger K02s - I’m considering nearly the same config - just Black or Nori Green exterior.
The tires make a huge difference especially in person. Kind of hard to tell on the video, ko2s are definitely worth it
