This was their perfect concert, the setlist was: Shadow Moses Go to Hell, for Heaven's Sake The House of Wolves Diamonds Aren't Forever It Never Ends And the Snakes Start to Sing Alligator Blood Empire (Let Them Sing) Chelsea Smile Pray for Plagues Blessed with a Curse Antivist Sleepwalking Hospital for Souls Drown Can You Feel My Heart An almost perfect mix of their albums. I would have added only Crucify me (my personal favourite) and Doomed (which had not yet been written)

That line "Im not ok and its not alright" gets me everytime. There are people saying "Everything will be fine", will never understand that right now nothing is all right Sometimes you just need to let everything out and that song helps me to do that. i know this sounds counterintuitive but a lot of the people that say that are probably going through just as much as you. me being one of them. maybe everything isn’t okay and life is god fucking awful but same here dude and even though i can’t fully understand you and your situation we can both understand that shit sucks right now. so at least we can coexist with our problems and if we all learn to do that everything may just actually be fine. hope you’re doing well !
I have to say, I think Oliver has become an excellent vocalist in all facets don't get me wrong, but I hate how no one talks about any of the other band members. All I ever see is Oli this or Oli that. Lee is by far my favorite. He's written so much variety. From brutal heavy metal, to some great guitar solos, hard rock, and even slower melodic songs like this song, "Blessed..", etc. And how can you leave out Jordan, Kean, and Nichols?? They're a band for a reason. They all write the material, and its great music no matter how much they switch their style. I just think its a shame how Oliver is the only one who gets any recognition for any of it.
You know why he gets all the attention? Looks. That's all. He looks alright to me but fangirls see him as some kind of god :D haha I like Lee too but my favourite ones are: 1.Oliver (he's got one of the most original vocals and I like him that much because he creates awesome clothes! :D) 2.Jordan (amazing live vocals and electro stuff) 3.Matt Nichols (sick drums!) Lee would be 4th for me :)
embie I know its all looks and that's flat out stupid. Fangirls care more about someone attractive than the work the whole band put into the music and more than they care about the music, itself. Its just dumb. People should appreciate bands as a whole.

Janko Bozovic Despite the fact Mr. Sykes has really really improved his live performances compared to the older gigs - I completely agree. On the other side, if you watch some older gigs and compare them with the newer ones, there is some real improvement. I saw them live in 2013 and based on the shows I watched online before I was not expecting the vocal performance to be that good to be honest. It was a real pleasant surprise.
Janko Bozovic There really isn't much post-production on his voice. Watch some of the live videos from people from the audience, his voice is pretty good! Obviously there's post-pro for this because it's an "Official" video that is supposed to present them the best way possible.

Exactly! I hate when people say that BMTH is a sellout, or too pop or mainstream now. Like sorry they changed their music a little bit. Sorry you can actually understand what they're saying. They should be happy that the music change bright new fans in.
iownyouall4444 I loved them then and I love them now. I can't be the only fan still in love with their music. Even if their music has changed, and it has.. the lyrics haven't. The lyrics are what drew me in to the start, and I'm willing to listen to whatever they have to say, it could be opera for fucks sake, it still means the same thing.
I first listened to this song many years ago. I didn’t understand the meaning that much then but I love how emotional this song is. But now me 25 y/o with major depressive disorder, totally understand it.
When I saw them live every song was great but this one literally took my breath away and yea, ever seen a grown man cry because of music? There I was lol.
Maybe it’s just me but Oli Sykes looks like he has much more stability in his life, and is carving out a totally unique identity for BMTH. I love their earlier albums as well, but can’t deny this new sound hits me just as hard. Excited to see what they put out next.
Oli's voice is so damaged, and look at how great this performance is, not only by him, but the whole band. I still cry everydag for the fact that i haven't seen them life yet, hope i will! They have grown so much, i think like at concerts like this, not metal meetings but really private concerts, they realize it. They realize they made it.
People keep complaining about songs like "Drown" because it looks like BMTH switched up their genre and left the old fans hanging. Let me tell you something. This "transition", or doing more songs like this in general is GREAT for BMTH, Olli particularly. If you're a true fan, you'd have realized that Olli absolutely SHREDDED his voice doing songs like "Sleepwalking" and "Can You Feel My Heart". Don't believe me? Watch the music video, then compare his voice to when he does it live. He simply can't sing them well consistently because his voice can't manage the strain. Alternative-sounding songs like "Drown" use mostly "clean" vocals, and less screaming. So they can give a GREAT message, with consistently GREAT vocals, and GREAT live performances. Taking it easy extends his career as a lead singer, so more BMTH for us! Quit bitching!

For the real screamers, he ends up letting the fans sing most of it (because he can't), or he ends up having these shitty short screams where they were actually extended heartshakers on the album. Even when he sang on the radio a little while back, it was terrible. The screams were painful af and he held the noted for like half the time. Go listen again

They've been evolving through all the different trends.. I think the hate started because of the fact people were obsessed with them back when they were doing their death/grindcore stuff - Even though it was absolute trash, dogshit and just terrible all round.. and there were so many better bands in that scene/genre who were getting overlooked back then
Probably Oli or the band will never see this, but thank you guys. This song and this band saved my life in my worst phase of depression. In december I hope to get the opportunity to be really close to the stage at Knotfest just to scream really fucking loud that you guys and your songs saved me
I think BMTH now is pretty good, Oli destroyed his voice in those years, that's why they decided to be like this and I really think that now is really good

This song has a different atmosphere, it makes you so excited and all of a sudden you feel your chest is going cold because of the deep lyrics. I guess this happened only with those true BMTH fans

I tried committing suicide in highschool, always been a loner, loser, outcast. Sempiternal came out 2 months after my dad passed away from Parkinson's, this song hit me soo godamn hard and still does to this day. I was at one the worst moments of my life and this album helped save my life. I got the word sempiternal tattooed on me because my father will always be with me over and over, again and again.

This was the only time they played Drown in its original key and the last time they played CYFMH and Sleepwalking in their original key. This was also the last and final time they played Diamonds Aren't Forever, Alligator Blood, And The Snakes Start To Sing, Hospital For Souls. This was definitely the last time they played Pray For Plagues and performed with Curtis Ward. This was the first time they played Drown and it was the only song from that's the spirit that was played here.
I saw them live last week for the AMO album (obviously only played two songs of the album since it isn't out yet) BUT they played a couple of songs from sempiternal, thats the spirit AND it never ends!!! it was absolutely amazing
Just saw them yesterday AMO tour they played Pray for Plagues, Diamonds aren't forever and the comedown as well as a good bunch from Sempiternal 😍 there was also Drown in this key, however slower and only guitar and oli which was beautiful

I'm starting to get into BMTH. First I heard "Can You Feel My Heart" and fell in love with the sound, its really beaultiful. Now I'm realising Sykes is without a doubt a good singer. He is so good at bringing emotion to his music. And we can see that this is a real band, you see the live concert and you can feel the connection between the artist and the fans, you can really see what they mean to their fans. I really respect these guys, and want to see them live asap.

Maybe it’s just me but Oli Sykes looks like he has much more stability in his life, and is carving out a totally unique identity for BMTH. I love their earlier albums as well, but can’t deny this new sound hits me just as hard. Excited to see what they put out next.
Oli's voice is so damaged, and look at how great this performance is, not only by him, but the whole band. I still cry everydag for the fact that i haven't seen them life yet, hope i will! They have grown so much, i think like at concerts like this, not metal meetings but really private concerts, they realize it. They realize they made it.

it may have been his fault but it's certainly still damaged, and yet he continues to be a great vocalist
People keep complaining about songs like "Drown" because it looks like BMTH switched up their genre and left the old fans hanging. Let me tell you something. This "transition", or doing more songs like this in general is GREAT for BMTH, Olli particularly. If you're a true fan, you'd have realized that Olli absolutely SHREDDED his voice doing songs like "Sleepwalking" and "Can You Feel My Heart". Don't believe me? Watch the music video, then compare his voice to when he does it live. He simply can't sing them well consistently because his voice can't manage the strain. Alternative-sounding songs like "Drown" use mostly "clean" vocals, and less screaming. So they can give a GREAT message, with consistently GREAT vocals, and GREAT live performances. Taking it easy extends his career as a lead singer, so more BMTH for us! Quit bitching!

For the real screamers, he ends up letting the fans sing most of it (because he can't), or he ends up having these shitty short screams where they were actually extended heartshakers on the album. Even when he sang on the radio a little while back, it was terrible. The screams were painful af and he held the noted for like half the time. Go listen again

They've been evolving through all the different trends.. I think the hate started because of the fact people were obsessed with them back when they were doing their death/grindcore stuff - Even though it was absolute trash, dogshit and just terrible all round.. and there were so many better bands in that scene/genre who were getting overlooked back then

I tried committing suicide in highschool, always been a loner, loser, outcast. Sempiternal came out 2 months after my dad passed away from Parkinson's, this song hit me soo godamn hard and still does to this day. I was at one the worst moments of my life and this album helped save my life. I got the word sempiternal tattooed on me because my father will always be with me over and over, again and again.

This was the only time they played Drown in its original key and the last time they played CYFMH and Sleepwalking in their original key. This was also the last and final time they played Diamonds Aren't Forever, Alligator Blood, And The Snakes Start To Sing, Hospital For Souls. This was definitely the last time they played Pray For Plagues and performed with Curtis Ward. This was the first time they played Drown and it was the only song from that's the spirit that was played here.
I saw them live last week for the AMO album (obviously only played two songs of the album since it isn't out yet) BUT they played a couple of songs from sempiternal, thats the spirit AND it never ends!!! it was absolutely amazing
Just saw them yesterday AMO tour they played Pray for Plagues, Diamonds aren't forever and the comedown as well as a good bunch from Sempiternal 😍 there was also Drown in this key, however slower and only guitar and oli which was beautiful

I'm starting to get into BMTH. First I heard "Can You Feel My Heart" and fell in love with the sound, its really beaultiful. Now I'm realising Sykes is without a doubt a good singer. He is so good at bringing emotion to his music. And we can see that this is a real band, you see the live concert and you can feel the connection between the artist and the fans, you can really see what they mean to their fans. I really respect these guys, and want to see them live asap.
