    Even here in Cali, on Sundays, stores close early. Costco closes at 6pm on Sundays.

    Just be careful with picking up shift dear, cuz a lot of that you are giving back to Uncle Sam. Its like you are working to pay taxes. You need to make sure you are maximizing your 403b or 401k. Also think about tax deduction investments like buying a house rather than spending money on an apartment. Rental cost is an expense but house mortgage is an investment and a tax deduction. Just an advice to new nurses. Goodluck on your journey. 😊

      Welcome. One my greatest mistakes when I started working was not contributing to my 403/401 because there is “employer matching” which is free money towards your retirement account. I also did not max out my contributions which could have been added tax deduction for me and more “forced” savings that could have earned interest. I hope you will all learn from my mistakes.
