I read in an interview that they briefly considered "Celebrated Basslines of the Future" as the album title instead of Turn on the Bright Lights. It's insane that Carlos went from never playing bass guitar before to writing those baselines on TOTBL.
Bass players are so fucking cool. Carlos D. is the best. Also I loved the cover. Totally forgot to mention. It'd be awesome if you put together The New or even Slow Hands. I'll be sure to check out your other covers. I noticed you got a lot of radiohead as well. I actually kinda like them. A pretty girl I know does too XD
The album Turn On The Bright Lights was released in 2002, it has some killer tracks on it you should listen to the song Say hello to the angel's or the new
Man, you have no idea how much this is inspiring me to fucking set up my studio. I've been wanting to make videos just like this for 10 years. god damnit. This was really good. Keep cranking these out. They're awesome.
I loved those first 3 albums so damn much. Cooled on them considerably since, and only recently found out Carlos D had left them after Our Love To Admire. Explains why I never loved anything by them since.
I'm just slack-jawed at this performance. Interpol is such an amazing group of musicians. It's a bit mind boggling that someone appreciates them to this degree and has the talent to pull together such a tribute. Very well done. Any chance you'd want to perform The New? :)
Drums, vocals, and bass were absolute perfection. But the guitars needed some reverb and delay they sound so thin they lack the atmospheric depth and richness of Interpol's guitars.
Absolutely flawless. I was hearing the exact song on the album with slightly different vocals. I liked the voice being slightly different too. It was a joy to listen to!
Thanks! Well, a Jazz bass with volumes and tone maxed (maybe slightly more neck pickup than bridge) and then I think I used an Ampeg style amp sim inside of Logic!
Carlos Eduardo Enciso Parra thanks! For Paul’s part I mostly just used tabs that were out there like Songsterr’s. He just varies up the chord figure a little bit towards the beginning.
Best outro in the history of music
Facts
Spot on. Sends tingles every time.
Right up there with Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others!
1:45 that would be funny if you had a 30 second pause like Daniel sometimes does before starting the next verse
the first time I understand what Daniel is singing in the background lmao 'what da hell' xD
3:16
To this day it's the greatest outro in modern rock to me. Just pulses like it's alive.
Carlos bass lines were so INTEGRAL to that whole album. WELL PLAYED!!!!

Their debut and arguably one of their best albums wouldn't be much without Carlos
After he left they never made another song I loved
@@SS-gx7tg From what I heard, it was Daniel Kessler who composed the basslines too, not Carlos but I can tell he's my favorite bass player
and most of early interpol songs, Paul Banks only wrote the lyrics and probably helped a little with the harmony
Sleep tight!
I wonder if he can do “All the rage back home” by Interpol 🎸
I wasn't watching the screen and for a minute i thought this was the studio recording
these vocals are insane, when the music starts i even tought i was listening to the original one lol

When this album was released, I only listened to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Radiohead and it.
andriolo YHF is another stellar record!
The album Turn On The Bright Lights was released in 2002, it has some killer tracks on it you should listen to the song Say hello to the angel's or the new
This remains my life today. LOL.
Man I really love how you play this song. One of my favorites!
amazing cover! congrats
I'm so high it took me a minute to realize they were all the same person lmfao
Damn. Wow.
Wow! Blown away
I love that the lines Daniel sings are able to be heard in your cover, so many live concerts where they are drowned out.
It's all fun and games resting your ipad on a floor tom until you do that celebratory roll at the end...
😂
Yea chidote
One of the best one man covers of a song on youtube.
You are the prodigal child from the early 2000's...you are a Wizard!!!
You killed this OMG
Man, you have no idea how much this is inspiring me to fucking set up my studio. I've been wanting to make videos just like this for 10 years. god damnit. This was really good. Keep cranking these out. They're awesome.
thenear1send do it!!

Joe Edelmann Hell yes ‘,:)
I think Carlos D was the most creative bass player since the guy from YES whose name escapes me right now.
I think Chris Squire?
Your twins are good musicians 👍
MOOOOOORE INTERPOL PLEASE!
I loved those first 3 albums so damn much. Cooled on them considerably since, and only recently found out Carlos D had left them after Our Love To Admire. Explains why I never loved anything by them since.

Brian Justus thank you! I do want to do the New, and just about any other Interpol song, for sure!
omggg this is quite literally the best thing ive ever seen..the outro made me cryyyy
Drums, vocals, and bass were absolute perfection. But the guitars needed some reverb and delay they sound so thin they lack the atmospheric depth and richness of Interpol's guitars.
The outro really deserves the synths in the background but good job!
Awesome! Amazing job, dude! Also great voice :-)
E X T R A O R D I N A R Y C O V E R......!!!!!!

Wow
Dude! I'm binge watching all your videos

This is my all time favorite song. Play it on bass all the time lol
Absolutely flawless. I was hearing the exact song on the album with slightly different vocals. I liked the voice being slightly different too. It was a joy to listen to!

Dude this is absolutely incredible! Any tips on how you got the bass tone?
Thanks! Well, a Jazz bass with volumes and tone maxed (maybe slightly more neck pickup than bridge) and then I think I used an Ampeg style amp sim inside of Logic!

Dude nice job!! Totally nailed it!
Please please please can you share the tab of Paul Banks guitar? Please
Carlos Eduardo Enciso Parra thanks! For Paul’s part I mostly just used tabs that were out there like Songsterr’s. He just varies up the chord figure a little bit towards the beginning.
