News alert! The middle aisles of grocery stores and supermarkets carry bad processed foods, but also some good stuff, namely, spices, canned fish, dark chocolate, dried beans, canned milk, brown rice, and I could go on, as you know. I get the hype about the outer aisles, but let's not lose our heads. Ultimately, it's about knowledge, knowing what's good and what's not, no matter where the marketing experts put it.

Don’t forget the dreaded carrageenan. Avoid it with my life. It makes me so sick. As for those minimally processed foods they are so expensive but excellent if you can afford them . 😢 So mostly always I have to make everything from scratch. Why must Elmhurst oat milk(only kind I’ll drink) be three times the price for example when it’s 3 simple ingredients and no gums stabilizers carrageenan etc where the regular stuff that is actually ultra processed is more affordable. Makes me cry every time cause I physically can’t have ultra processed foods. I have sensitivities to it all.

No matter how hard you try to avoid the nonsense highly processed foods, you may still be ingesting them due to the fact that most of these manufacturers are lying about whats actually in their ingredients, for it to seem more healthy in order for buyers to buy their products

Correction: We choose food with our eyes. Food that contain HFCS aka High fructose corn sirup (sweets), or PUFA, Poly-unsaturated fatty acid, Sodium Nitrite, (found in Pork), are what are killing you. It is not just the carbohydrates eaten to achieve satiation that are causing your hunger pangs and insulin/sugar yoyo reaction to drive your life.

Thank you, well said. Many think it’s calories that are bad when they are oblivious to the chemicals and overly-processed ingredients in “tasty” foods. Of course, nobody can figure it out because of the lack of education and the fact that it takes the course of one’s life for the chemicals to take a major toll on the body.

I think it's funny, because people will want vegetarian foods, but they don't understand that they walk from the fire to jumping inside the pot. It's easier to put wood fiber in vegetarian processed foods, ... probably cheaper too. So I'll stick with whole foods as best as I can, cause I'm good on eating wood or cellulose. If it's a meat, it's usually fish. So good luck mimicking that.. Especially if I'm the one going out and catching the fish myself. Chicken, Turkey, Beef.. I'm good 98% of the time. There's a 98% chance, I'm gonna eat a 250 cal. can of sardines, then eating a hamburger.
