Great comparison Ive been using midjourney its so much fun. I am an artist and this stuff is a dream come true. I dont think it will take jobs it will make more. I have So many ideas in head to nake the world better that I will be able to share so much faster with this tech. The true shadow monster in this conversation is not AI its the idea that art is valuable because it takes time. That comes from this idea that time is money, and money is the only thing that matters. Ideas matter the ablitity to create and express matters. Thats art not the ablitity to draw a picture. Artist who talk about how long something took them are looking for praise and it gets in the way of the message behind their work. The same thing happen when the camera was invented. Painters thought their industry was dead lol. Turns out most painters sell and interact with their viewership by using photographs of their work. If your an artist try it, and you might find its something you will want in your workflow! Chill a little bit fear is not your friend, embrace the tech, and you wont be left behind, you will be a more capable artist.
Hi there, Just started watching your videos, very informative :D I was wondering if you could go in depth about the hard skills an intern should know or at least have a basic understanding of, prior to beginning an architecture internship? I had "learners-shock" when starting arc school, I don't want the same thing happening at an internship. Thank you so much!
Hey Mr. Archi Hacks. What about a video about 2d to 3d Ai. Can you use your Midjourney generated image to convert to 3d ? At least as a base model for remodelling in rhino?
Before AI, architects used/use "computer aided" software like Revit, Rhino or AutoCAD. Wouldn't they be considered a form of AI? Architects do input commands and the software does it. This resulted in traditional "handwork" ie. T-square, architects' ruler, templates, etc, to be out of date..... Imo, that's no different than what we have now with AI.
No, they are not, AI is able to create architectural concepts based on a descriptive text theme. REVIT, AUTOCAD, and 3DMAX are tools to create drawings and real-life images.
no they would NOT be considered a form of AI, the commands you input on those softwares are just standard algorithms whereas AI images used machine learning and a huge data base containing real artists works, that's why the resulted images look so good So comparing AI with autocad/rhino/revit is literally comparing apples to oranges
Interesting. I noticed in this demo and a previous comparison of AI. The results are usually creepy. Just like the nun’s sequence. Other than that. Thanks for sharing. Good demo. Thumbs up 👍 & a like.
Usually it happen because you cannot pay architect on time and their value. Mostly there is no recognition anymore of difference between value and price. 🙃
Professional artist here. I will take all of my painted work offline now as I'm not willing to allow image crawlers / diffusers to steal from my paintings without permission and without legal consequences. Many actual artists I have talked to recently are also taking all their work offline. Sad times.
It's a bit useless unless I can feed it a basic 3D image, say rendered in autocad or sketchup and then get it to upscale the presentation. I can't give a client a random image. It needs to be their specific design. Be good to be able to feed it a HQ image of a suitable rendering style as a template. No decent architect should be creating designs based on a few vague works without full regard for all the project details. This is essentially a game for relaxing after work.
good thing about architecture is not just about art. It goes beyond art like documentation, construction, design with consideration of built environment, laws etc. Your client can't do.

Guess it will start to get interesting if you can ask Midjourney to use harmonic geometry rules and design it to scale.
IMO, AI will make architect's job easier just as other software tools have. Will not eliminate architecture jobs.
IMO?? what is it?

Hmmm, u from Filipina?

I can look into that!

I'm glad I stumbled across your video. I enjoyed your takes on each AI platform!
Glad you enjoyed!
Can one of these ai tools create a revit model from the image it creates?
Soon they will evolve beyond images and give us complete 3d models.
I got this message on Midjourney all the time "Cannot send messages to this user" !!
How can I solve that?
I can’t generate it for free on Midjourney. It requires me to subscribe. Anyone know what to do ?
great comparison, thank you
Just a pity that Midjourney is way too expensive to use if your currency is not Dollars! Where DALL-E gives you free credits to use each month.
Awesome !
Registered!!
A bauhaus in the prompt gives me always better architecture.
Woww that is amazing thanks you
Hi! Mr Archi hacks, could you please make videos on how to use rhino for beginners 🙏🏽
So brain implant or copy and paste? Where AI is dooing components which architect design, and contractor can build this with unemployable staff?
I thought image generation is just competition between Midjourney or stable diffusion nowadays
God I can not wait to replace my architects haha. 1/2 of them can’t even count!

great

you can do thay with promeai ;)
The AI is much more streamlined and more elegant than anything Tesla has made to date. i.e. cybertruck
that images are original is very debatable
Next thing you know your client uses AI and you are out of a job straight away

Somehow AI generators are pretty bad at rendering text, always have misspellings and/or with warped shapes.

My paid experience with Dall-e2 I asked for money back as it produced total rubbish
Destroy Ai art
unbuildable...unworkable...this will tire very quickly.
Out of job 😢
I tell you how you will practice architecture in the future. You will not practice it.
So cool!
